Don't see what we have to lose by playing him. You've got Osman not doing his defensive duties very well and peinnaar giving the ball away on numerous occasions and Felli giving the ball away all day today so no harm in giving Barkley a run of a few games. Might be the making of him

Could be a blessing in disguise this. Two fixtures against some 'easier' opponents, perfect to experiment with Barkley in the line-up, maybe Naismith in the hole.
