Bit harsh to pull him up on 1 mistake when thrown on with 13 mins of game time left. Anyone could of done that. Osman did simlar on our 18yrd box...
He could of done amazing... Yet still made that same mistake. Rooney seems to have set a ridiculous high standard for our youngsters. You will never see another Rooney come through a youth system in England that's...that good and ready to play at 16.

He was looking for the pass all the time which was not on as everyone just ran towards the box looking for the lump so it was no options available except for the lump. Everyone should put the microscope away and stop looking for his mistakes or compare with others like Osman, Peinaar, Oviedo, Hitz, Heitinga, Distin, Jags, Jelevic, Naismith on how many times they gave the ball away. People are too harsh. He needs a run then judge after 6 games or so. He must be as rusty as f uck given the game time he gets here.

Can I just ask...and i'm not judging the lad, because, yes he needs game time, but...why do we all think he's some wonderkid? Are we just taking it from other sources? These aren't rhetorical questions, I am serious...he wasn't incredible at Sheff Wed or anything?
I just don't see why we see him as some boywonder when most of us have seen about 150 minutes of him in an Everton shirt. Please help me out here...

His movement was fantastic in comparison to some regular first teamers.
The issue was that we were chasing the game and every pass counts.

Don't think so. I think we need every midfielder we can get at the moment. And some match experience will be good for him. If we sign another midfielder in January, then yes.

If he had started in that blistering opening 20 minutes he might of made the diference to score 3!
To send him on when we were 2-1 down the formation tatally changed he made one mistake you cannot judge a player on that comeo performance where as playing JH cost us the game imo! Duffy should have played alonside Distan & the header & the 2nd goal would have been marked up with a 6.4 player who can head it clear! Distan was a one man defence today!
