In the last games he's played for he's practically done exactly the same thing as other people have said in terms of trying to over-impress, which has been costly in the past and looked to be today. As I said I'm not wanting to single him out, and I understand we were throwing people forward.

I think if he can settle into our team then yeah he'll prove himself, like at Sheff Wed maybe (although I didn't see him play for them), but we aren't in a position to be throwing him in like that and Moyes knows it.

If we're 2/3 goals up then we might start seeing him more, which will be the best time for him.

I'll judge him properly when he starts games. I won't judge 10 minute cameos; whether he runs on and smashes in three goals or three own goals.

From what I've seen of him properly, he's sensational. He gave away a penalty once and that's the last we saw of him properly.

I'm certainly not going to criticise the kid when he's given 10 minutes off the bench against the European champions in a misshapen team, especially when the movement ahead of him when he had the ball for that dispossession was pure sh*te.

Cost us games? Wtf?

Bizarre, ain't it? Complete myth; just like the ol' "exploding knees" that gained momentum despite being based on absolutely nothing.

Stop it! Just stop it you!! This common sense nonsense will not be tolerated!

Before the game where he gave away the penalty, in another game he did a ****e cross field ball for no reason near our own box and the other team scored. We were comfortably in the lead in that game, this will sound a bit ****e but I can't remember who we were playing but I'm certain others will.

There were rumours the lad's mentality is completely awful too, supposedly he was distraught after those mistakes.

Yeah, the "he might cost us a goal" is laughable considering i'd be surprised if we've got any players left who haven't cost us a goal at some point this season *slight exaggeration*.

Certainly some of our experienced reliable players have so claiming a young player isn't ready cause he might cost us a goal is sooooooooooooooooooo annoying.

I wouldn't be surpised to se him go back to Sheff Wed for the rest of the season, weill be better for him than sitting on the bench till we go to Old Trafford and he plays.

all part of the learning process. he'll get there eventually, can't believe that the majority of people abusing him would be evertonians. doesn't sound like our kind of fans - probably just sad 12 year old kopites with a fake account.

on the topic though, how can deleting a twitter account make you more focused on football? unless he's on it 24/7 instead of training - i highly doubt it's that absorbing.

anyway - ross ignore the haters - just a bunch of keyboard warriors, you will achieve great things with this club, much more than they will with their lives

Why do some people have a problem with acknowledging that he isn't ready for Premier League football just yet because he is only 19 and has an awful lot to learn still?

Honestly, this obsession with playing a kid before he is ready isn't going to do him any good at all, all it's going to do is knock his confidence and lead to people giving him **** on forums and Twitter etc.

HE ISN'T READY YET, AND IT MAY BE A FEW MORE YEARS BEFORE HE IS!!!

He's just spent time on loan at relegation threatened Sheff Wed and got better every game, despite early errors for them, to the point where he was there star player when he left.

I'm not saying he'd be definitely brilliant but those looking at a 10 minute cameo and saying he's "nowhere near ready" are very premature.

I think playing for sheffield Wednesday is a bit different to playing for a premier league team, a team you love, don't you think? But yeah he did get better and better, but it's whether or not Moyes thinks it's worth risking that for us, challenging for champions league

I'm saying we should protect the lad really, throw him in now like Essex Blue said and it may ruin him. Moyes knows better than us.

He's good enough, and he's ready.

Moyes had the opportunity to throw him on against Wigan last week. But threw Oviedo on for Anichebe. The advanced position ( which pienaar slotted into) would have been ideal for Ross....

Its just all. Crazy. I can 99.9% guarantee moyes wont give him snother chance this season

I guarantee he will get another chance this season, but I will agree with you there because I wanted him to come on then and it's a perfect example of what I said before when we're 2/3 up to bring him on. Oviedo deserves his right to play too, though.

Based on what? Nothing but hype!

Stop putting so much pressure on the lad, let him grow and learn from his mistakes out on loan at a Championship club.

He currently expects far too much time on the ball, his decision making isn't the best, and he has a lot to learn from a defensive perspective. The Premiership is very unforgiving and you more often than not get punished for making these type of mistakes.

This obsession with playing him before he is ready is nothing but counter-productive.
