I know for a fact that he is going to a fantastic player in the future. I think the U20's England manager said he was going the be the next big talent. Let's hope he doesn't go somewhere else at the end of the season.

Not fair. Moyes put his arm around players as he escorted them back to the reserves.

Or let Duffy play and was outstanding then drop him, and when Shamus Coleman tore spurs apart at home in his first game a substitute after the game he quoted on Radio Merseyside he stated the fullback shirt was his if he performed like that, then never played him again, in fact he sent him out on loan to Blackpool!!!!!!! what a plonker DM really was! lets see how United cope with him! I have faith in ROBERTO MARTENEZ!

I'd have him over Osman every day. Osman makes me fume when he tries those peashooter shots that roll along the floor...EVERY GAME.

Im not a massive fan of Osman either, can be good on the ball but gave the ball away alot last season and he can't shoot.

He does all the hard work of getting himself in a great position to shoot and then either pearolls it or chips it nicely into the keepers hands. Occasionally he'll come up with a good strike but his general finishing needs to be much better. He's capable of it, see Larissa, Man City, Stoke at home a couple of years ago.

A frube is probably stronger that Osman.

The loan to Blackpool was obviously hugely beneficial to Coleman and had a positive impact upon his career.

These 'outstanding' games that Duffy had are just in your head. He came in and did alright, if we had the next Rio Ferdinand on our hands he'd have played more often. As it happens we have three accomplished centre halves who at this moment in time are better, it would make no sense to bench them in favour of an inexperienced player who isn't as good.

THIS FFS

I swear every time somebody talks about those games Duffy played in he gets even better. Next he'll be the Irish Thiago Silva.

Roberto Martinez believes “diamond” Ross Barkley can make a big impact at Everton this season.

The 19-year-old midfielder turned in a sparkling display as the Blues’ pre-season preparations continued with a routine 3-1 win over SkyBet Championship side Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday, and will be looking to make his mark on the Premier League in the coming campaign, having featured sporadically over the past two seasons.

Speaking about Barkley, Martinez said: “He is something special.

“In football when you describe a player, there are not many better descriptions than to say he’s an incredible football diamond.

“He’s still a young man, and he needs to learn the players around him. But I’m excited to have that process with him. He has got an incredible talent. You look at young players like Gerard Deulofeu and Ross Barkley – they are at that level.

“I am really pleased with his attitude, the way he listens and wants to learn. And when he is in full flow, he can be something special.

How long have we waited for an Everton manager to say this?

Oh and Ross is gonna be immense this year! I suspect by second half of season he'll be in "full flow"

What's the chances that come May time, Barkley could well have took Osman's place in both the EFC and England team?!?!
