If the manager wants to play someone without massive objection from numerous other parties he plays him.

Bloody hell. And it doesn't cost us playing, say, an experienced Dutch international centre back? The problem is Stubbs probably agreed with him and he's in charge of our U21s.

Secondly, for a half an hour spell today, he did resemble a young Rooney. He has enormous talent and potential. There is a lot of the Gasgoine about him, in the strength he has.

He's one of those players, who you must watch in training and think they have everything. Height, strength, passing ability, a good shot, good in the tackle, awareness. If he had a weakness you would say he doesn't have blistering pace/athleticism
But in all honesty, if Martinez can get the mental side of it right with this guy, he will be a very good player.

If true that's appalling. Moyes had the safest job in football. Risky for who? We were never getting relegated and he was never going to hear a peep from the chairman.
