Ross Barkley

I think Ross Barkley is the only player I currently worry about leaving, maybe a little Mirallas too.

I don't necessarily think he wants to leave, but if City or someone come in with a crazy bid, something like £40m plus I think we all know that would probably be accepted.

Well, i'd be shocked if it wasn't.

40m isn't crazy.

Luke shaw was 30.
Pogba and Rodriguez have been quoted at 60 plus.

It would be horrible if we sold for no other reason than we have a pretty strong squad already now assuming Besic and Lukaku are signed. We would probably have to spend 15m replacing him and then what?

Bill would just pocket it.

I'm hoping that the fact that he's an Everton supporter will have an influence on what happens and that he'll be happy to play for us for a
lousy, what, 3 or 4 million a year?

A bit old fashioned, but yer never know.

He'd be stupid not to sign a new deal really.

We've just come fifth under a top manager, if we sign Lukaku and Besic we'll have a first XI who can best anyone in the league on their day, and even Gerrard has told him to stay here FFS. He's a young blue probably being offered upwards of £60k per week to play for his boyhood team who are on the up, if he doesn't want to sign then sod the lad.

He will sign a new deal, imo. He'd be stupid not to, even if he wants to leave in the next year or two. Contracts don't stop players forcing a move, look at Suarez. He'll take a pay rise knowing that 'player power' will mean he could still force a move if he wanted to.

James Rodriguez is now being quoted at 85m Euros.

The truth is there isn't that many world class players in the world and with the amount of money flowing into the top 6 European clubs 80m plus will become standard.

The nonsense you post on here is endless.

You had your pants pulled down on FFP and you can't accept the fact UEFA has you in their sights.

Denial.

The European Commission is watching what UEFA are doing. Theres a specific commissioner in charge of this.

Yeah, they've got such sharp teeth. We can only spend 49 million pounds this summer. We've been given a suspended fine. And we've had our CL squad reduced by a whole four players.

You keep dreaming FFP will effect City in the future. In the real world. Well I won't say it. You'll cry.

Sorry I didn't even think I was saying something that you would take issue with. Ageuro was crocked all second half of last season and in the World Cup. Even you must admit he hasn't looked right in a long time and that must worry the hell out of you.

This City team has peaked and Arsenal and Chelsea will definitely finish above you so it will between yourselves, Liverpool and Utd for the final 2 CL places and that isn't even considering us or Spurs. I think it's at least as possibility you won't get Top 4. I thought Utd wouldn't last season before the season begun and lets just say even if in their worst fears there wasn't too many of their fans who thought they wouldn't.

Platini might hold PSG to different standard because a) they're not English b) They're French like him and c) They're the biggest club in France and a much bigger club (before the money was put in) than City.

However he will go after your club.

Do you actually have some thing back up your truly bizarre and wild assertion that this City team has peaked? In terms of age, our best players are only just coming into their peak. Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Dzeko, Kompany, Zabaleta, Fernandinho, Kolarov, Clichy, Fernando. All under 30. If anything we're going to get better next season as the players will be a year more experienced in the way Pellegrini wants them to play, and the additions of Fernando, Sagna, and potentially Mangala will strengthen us. It's funny, last summer I remember reading very similar things from those desperate for City to fail. People mocked Pellegrini, said now that Mourinho was back City were never going to win the league again etc. The Mourinho Myth in full effect.

How do you propose Platini will go after City but not go after PSG? D'you think City is run by a bunch of incompetent shrinking violets? Maybe a have a watch of this. You might learn something not just about football finance, but about City's business model and why when you guys make statements about the decline of City you're so far wide of the mark it's not even funny.

It's just the start. The good word is that Begiristain has called Barkley his "legacy" signing at City and has expressed to Khaldoon that whatever the cost is, he will be worth it. I suspect it'll happen next summer rather than this, unless Monaco sell Rodriquez this. If they do then they'll move for Yaya and everything will accelerate.

Toure has just been on SSN he is staying at City, striaght from the horses mouth. Panic over.
You can spend your money elsewhere.

TOB, I'd be very worried if I were you that anyone with a modicum of footballing sense would see Barkley as a replacement for Toure any time in the foreseeable future. Barkley still has much to learn and improve on, and there are some within Everton who doubt whether he is a 'learner'.
