Honestly I'm pretty sure I'd be able to take both of you apart with one hand tied behind my back.

Monday lad, me and you lad, bring a tool, not even messin here.
Reckon it would be a good scrap to be fair, but feel my overall power would see me thru.
Sorry lad don't want any trouble.
Can you tell the insecure internet posters to pipe down a little and I'll stop please mate. Thanks mate.
Yep that massive experience of five games for Preston made his career alright. You're spot on there.
In all seriousness, the Beckham/Preston example of youth development has to be one of the most overhyped things in his career.

Beckham ego was getting big, he knew he would make it from a young age, he wasnt taking it serious and sending him to Preston which made him grow up and take stock of his life, Barkley is quite the same, knows he is quality but got alot to learn, of course i would love him to stay with us but if Moyes thinks it best for him, we have to trust him.
Not sure what barkley is like but i imagine beckham going to preston definitely improved him mentally.
Barkley would get snapped by some hairy grock when he tries his stepovers. No thank you.
The problem with this argument is that it's basically saying "Moyes is the manager so he is infallible".
Which in turn means all fan opinions that aren't supportive of Moyes' decisions are null and void, and it implies Moyes gets nothing wrong.
I do believe Artetafan made this exact point the other day but I wanted to reiterate it. No point in a discussion forum if the only discussion is why Moyes is right all of the time.
One game. Moyes sees him in training every day. I've seen him for the Reserves numerous times since, when you'd expect him to step up and take the game by the scruff of the neck if he was '1st team ready'. He didn't. He needs week in, week out regular 90 minute football, and when he gets that he will come on leaps and bounds.
But he won't get that at Everton at the moment, nor should he because there are more experienced players ahead of him. We can't afford to have a kid making mistakes for us and costing us games.

That's the next game, after he was easily the best player on the pitch against QPR. He was even one of our better players in that shocking Blackburn game. Go back and look who's involved in everything good we did...
He was took out of the firing line for his own good. I've seen young players like Oster and Cadamarteri and Branch at Everton in the past - played into the ground and did them no good. Introduce the kid gently, and besides, who would he displace in the midfield at the moment?
