The board need to get Koeman out of the country...which he says himself is tomorrow or the next day...then get RB and his agent in and thrash out the details on the deal.

With respect Dave, that's nonsense.

Suggesting that the board, in effect, go behind the managers back is ridiculous.

Whether you like it or not, and you patently don't and that's a position you're entitled to take, Koeman is the manager and if he feels the current offer is fair/good enough and the player chooses not to sign it then the club is surely undermining the manager if they do as you suggest.

How many of the board have played professional football and actually managed teams - None.
Koeman played, spectacularly, and has managed.
The board have to trust the manager and the DoF, they're only 12 months into their respective contracts and have achieved an improvement.

Granted, there's still a lot of hard, hard work to be done and a long, long way still to go before we can claim to be 'back among the big boys' but, we have made the first tentative steps along the road.

Exactly this.

Cant we go back to talking about cars and bird songs?

*gonna confuse a few that. soz*

Ashley Williams has a League Cup medal I think. (Prob a Div 2/3 one as well for all I know).

Which kind of backs you up really.

Oh, Barry. Must have a few, surely.

Which again.....

Rom has got an FA Cup and a Belgian title under his belt.

Will be glad when the whole Barkley (and Lukaku) circus have left town.

With Barkley though, sadly I think this is only the start.

Even if he gets transfer listed tomorrow as I expect, Tottenham or whoever arent exactly going to rush in with a bid.

I suspect Barkley will still be hanging around like a bad smell when pre-season begins. If that is the case, we must not let it affect our start to the season or the Europa League qualifiers. Even if it means he doesn't have a squad number and is forced to train with the kids.

Blue Union Twitter reporting saying Ross Barkley has signed new contract

They tweeted the same thing a few months ago and it didn't happen.

If he'd signed a new deal the club would just announce it. An announcement tomorrow will be that he's being put up for sale and being placed on the transfer list.

You are obviously an intelligent guy Dave, and I enjoy reading your posts even though I do not agree with all of them. Then you go and spoil it with crap like this !!!
