I'm beginning to lose patience with Ross.
I have once I recall got into his back for a performance.. he was my guess for player of the season last year. I have been a real fan of his potential and believe he can be the player he is meant to become more consistently. He does it in periods over a season.
But "when" he goes I will have nothing but resentment for him. This would also be a first.
Some of the controversial sells:
Rooney, was gutted as we all were but it made sense for his career. He made huge money and worldwide fame.
Lescott: no issue. He was not an Evertonian and was given a chance to win something. He did.
Arteta: my favorite ever player in Blue. Glad he got a chance to win a trophy after years of service at a level that would grace any team in england!
Fellaini: again not an evertonian. Owed us nothing and took a chance at the biggest club in the country. Of course he should take it.
Lukaku.. again not an evertonian. Played for us longer than I thought he would based on his self promotion and feel the time was right for him to take that step to a team at the top at the moment. He doesn't need to sit and be part of a project. He wants glory now and gave us as long as he could I feel. Apart from him being a self serving piece of work good luck to him.
Now we get to Barkley. Unless he joins a Manchester team or Chelsea I don't get it and can't justify it. He is a boyhood blue. We are clearly building something special and as an Evertonian I expect more. I don't know, maybe he feels being part of Everton is the reason England aren't selecting him... for that he might be right as I don't get his continual snub.
Maybe I will soften my position if I give it time and see how he departs.. but as it stands he is at the club he supposedly loves, offered as much as it seems he would be offered anywhere, in a team at the most exciting point it has been in almost 30 years. And he would leave to go to Spurs. That is what I don't get.
