Yes of course I'm a Blue and a proud one at that. I have different opinions which shouldn't be a crime. I love Martinez and believe in his style of play. I fall foul of this wooly mammoth mantra on here that our squad either contains absolute world beaters or the dregs of society. I prefer to take a more balanced view.
Yes mate. I think Deli Alli is, and will be, a better player than Barkley. I don't take any joy from saying that and would agree they really pretty close at the moment but I honestly believe Ali has a better chance of truly.making it.
I don't think we all think Barkley is a world beater mate.
But how you haven't changed your opinion even slightly of him since the summer is unbelievable, quite frankly. Your main argument then was that his end product was poor, and you still argue that point...
This season, Barkley has scored 12 goals so far. 11 for Everton, 1 for England.
He's got 11 assists - 8 for Everton, 3 for England.
That defines 'end product', and proves your point, which may have very well been valid at the time, now completely defunct.
You say Alli is the better player.
Bare in mind that this is his first season in this league. In Barkley's first season he was equally as impressive as Alli.
Alli, this season, has 6 goals and 7 assists for Spurs, plus 1 goal for England.
He is two years younger than Barkley, but the same age as when Barkley came through into our side.
In Barkley's break-through season he got 7 goals and 3 assists, so stats that really are not all that different.
