Right. I think I get it now....

Robles is not to use his feet/legs to save.

The defence must not go into the opposition box because they're defenders and paid to defend only.

Midfielders are not allowed in either final third as they're paid to be midfilders; and strikers must not go into their own half under any circumstances

Tubey logic.

Hahahahaha what??!

Classic.

;););)
There's no need. Theoretically.

What should happen is that if an opposition DM steps forward, one of our DMs should step forward to press, one drops and one centre half steps up too.

It's not Barkley's fault that his teammates who are paid to defend don't do it properly. That is the fault of a manager who has proven for nearly a decade that he does not known how to set up a team to defend.

Barkley is the easy scapegoat when things are going badly, because he's not a ratter type of player. When we're struggling, Evertonians tend to love a Stracqualursi rather than genuine class - as long as they run, they're trying - this is just that situation again.

Great post Tubey ;)

Agree, that it is mainly a problem of our DMs and CHs. And agree that Ross really is not a player that has defending as his quality. But I believe Ross needs to do a job defensively, especially at times when we are under pressure and when an effort would really help the whole team. It is similarly naive to think Ross does not need to defend at all as our manager's thinking we don't need to practise set pieces.
