barkley won't pass a medical so he can't leave

he's now stuck at everton

it's the world cup year

we can basically do a "niasse" on Barkley and just let him rot in the under 23's all year or he can sign the contract and we can sell him in the summer or after the world cup if he still wants to leave for a decent wedge

I suppose there is the way to look at it,but I think there is a battle going on with Barkley and Koeman and in my opinion there is only one winner.

He is staying and our fans will be divided the way this has played out. It is up to him to amp up his work rate and deliver the goods or Koeman won't give him the time of day.

Tbf their styles are not completely dissimilar. Both fairly large units who are at their best running at people.

Pretty strong rumours that dembele is gonna struggle badly with his fitness a bit like kompany has mate, so they want his replacement asap.

As for that being Ross, couldn't personally think of a player whose least like dembele really than him.

He will sign a deal if he doesn't move by the end of this window mate. It will happen. Yes I'd treat him like that if he wanted to play it that way and not sign but it wouldn't come to that. He'll sign a new deal and leave first chance he gets when a good enough offer comes in for him. It's a real shame its come to this but I fear Ross has destroyed his relationship with a large portion of our fanbase.

If he signs a new deal mate his fee automatically goes up to the 40mill again,and that puts him in the position of no one will pay that.That is why I don't think he will sign.

Ross hasn't played that role for us, well, hardly ever, and it'd be a risk for Spurs to buy him purely with that in mind, but I can see that Pochettino might be thinking in trying Barkley in a similar role to Dembele, it wouldn't be a 100% lfl replacement, nothing ever is.

After all, if they paid 25 to 30 million for him ,stuck him on a four year contract and, after a couple of years they decided he couldn't be trained into that kind of role then they'd likely just sell him on for a profit with no real harm done to their club.

I don't see him fitting in with potchetino one bit. The only style I could see him fitting in with would be arsenal. He's not good enough to make their first 11 though in my opinion

Then he really shouldn't play for us again mate. It's just my opinion and I dare say others will disagree but I think that sets a terrible example to our other players. If someone can run down their contract down and leave the club with nothing and have zero repercussions. No we need to show that nobody is bigger then the club and players can't run down their contracts effectively doing the club over and not face consequences.
