2017/18 Ross Barkley

While I don't doubt that how Barkley's relationship Koeman created division, I can reliably say that it wasn't Ron who was the major agitator.

Instead, it was another member of the 'staff', close to the manager, who alienated many of the players and caused relations to sour drastically.

Yet if we're looking for fairness, Ross isn't well known for being the nicest or most sensible of individuals either professional and personally.

So I'm not surprised that the relationship between the manager, the club and Ross quickly dwindled to the point where we are.

Is that reliably but privately, or you going to hint at a name?

The name I heard is Koeman,
Irwin Koeman.
(heard off some random bloke in the pub like. Not claiming to have a source)

Spurs had tapped him up.
He wanted to go to Spurs.
The Club ignored his agent and tried to do the deal with Chelsea (or anyone else other than Spurs) but when push came to shove, Ross and his Agent stood by their guns and still demanded the move to Spurs.

Ross probably thinks the Mercenary cutthroat atmosphere at Chelsea would be too competitive and he'd be out after a few bad performances like the rest of them (or he had a word with ROM). He'll have had warm friendly cuddles from Poch telling him it wasn't like that at Spurs, and that they too were a family club who would look after him.

The whispers I'd heard is that Moshiri was asked by Chelsea not to sell to Spurs (Usmanov, Abramovich and Moshiri all have very close ties). Everton wouldn't even negotiate with us. Barkley was offered the choice of Chelsea or nothing and so he instead decided to refuse any move.

I'm not sure it means Barkley wants Spurs and nothing else, I think it was more that Barkley didn't appreciate having the choice taken away from him and felt dictated to. I could easily see him moving somewhere else or even staying at Everton over joining us.

I know Ross is thick, but if you want out and the current champions offer you the chance to join them, double your wages and play alongside the likes of Willian, Hazard et al you probably should take them up on it, lol.

If he wants out he should probably wait until the summer if personal gain is his main priority. Quite a few teams will be offering him very big signing on fees if he joins them on a free transfer.

I think. sadly, he's been forced to the door and there's no will to persuade him back from going through it.

I expect his fee is factored into the new manager's kitty for January.

What a shambles. I dont know of any other club like this that loses its very best so regularly, either by pushing them away or being cherry picked.
Southampton?

This wouldn’t be a surprise, the Mosh bending over for big wigs just like little Everton are expected to

Then ringing Jim White and making the situation a further embarrassment trying to taint Ross’ credibility in case he exposes the story? The plot thickens

I can see why he would prefer you lot over Chelsea, young English core and a team on the up building from within rather than buying everyone with unlimited cash...

My RAWK senses are tingling.
Not really sure what that means, but I assure you I meant it wholeheartedly.. it was just baffling to me how he 'turned down' Chelsea when he apparently really, really wants to leave us..... don't get why he'd do that? He might get a million or two signing on fee in the summer, but Chelsea would offer him significantly higher wages than Spurs, plus he's actually be likely to win something there compared to the 4th place trophy at Spurs! I really want him to stay, but it looks like he doesn't want it, so he'll be off in January I reckon.

Yup, this rat of the highest order is fleecing the club so we don’t even get a fee for him by the looks of it. All because of a personal spat it seems, or alternatively because he in the words of some “has to get out of town”.

Still, some on here feel sorry for him, absolutely baffling.
