English quota, huge bargain in todays market, still only 23 plus if he doesnt make it they will make a profit on selling him. Whats not to like from Chelsea's POV

The lad has cost he club £20MILLION. It is the biggest betrayal I have ever seen from a supposed ‘Evertonian’.

He ain't making the World Cup. He didn't play in the Euros when he was fit and playing every week. He is Danny Drinkwater's understudy now both nationally and with his new club. Let's hope that's what he wanted.
Never wanted a player to be a success more than Ross and he ends up being the biggest rat to call himself an Evertonian out of them all. Done the club worse than Jeffers and Rooney in my eyes hope he’s never privileged to put on an Everton shirt again. Weak [Poor language removed]

Although I don't agree with what he's done, I don't think he's actively cost the club money. He doesn't need to want to get his move and make sure we get paid. The losing money side is our fault, I believe.

How so? We agreed a £35m fee four months ago, he was actually at Cobham having his Chelsea medical. Now I’m guessing it went something along the lines of Chelsea seeing that he will be injured for at least 4 months, so asking him to hold off until January whilst we pay his medical bills, they can get a lower fee for him and hey don’t have to pay his wages for 4 months.
It is an absolute disgrace what has gone on here. I hope he has the worst luck throughout his entire career. The little bellend.

How Everton have escaped any blame in all this is amazing. He should never have been allowed to get to the stage where he has 1 year left on his deal. Did we assume that the fact that he's an 'Evertonian' means we dont have to worry about a new deal for him and take it for granted that he would just sign?
