Royston Drenthe

Drenthe, Fellaini, Barkley, Donovan

Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Coleman.

All we need are two decent strikers and we'd actually have go. We're desperately missing any sort of buzz around the club at the moment, this may get it back.

Wigan are staring at the drop and have decided that, if they're going to lose anyway, they might as well have a go at teams. Norwich get stuck in. So too QPR and Swansea. None of them have got the players we've got. If Moyes let them off the leash Saha, Cahill, Straq, Vellios, Drenthe, Barkley, Gueye, Coleman, Osman, Rodwell and Fellaini are all capable of causing problems for any defence in the league.

If we came out of the blocks quickly in home games against the lesser sides and grabbed an early goal, their game plan would be shot. They'd have to come out and play to try and get back in the game and that would give us more space. If we're going to lose sloppy goals every game anyway, then there's no point setting up to keep things tight. We need to go out to attack sides from the off.

Moyes won't play an 18 year old in central midfield on a regular basis. And, if we have someone like Drenthe or Barkley on the right hand side of midfield, Davey will want a defensively-minded fullback behind them.

Yeah, he did it for a year, but he'll be 30 in March and Spurs aren't going to just give him to us. He's at the start of a 4 year contract. I'd rather try and get younger players into our side.

Exactly, it would be stupid with our finances to sign a 30 year old for a fee.

Maybe because he's in a far worse position than when he left as well.

Donovan could play up front or off the striker with Pienaar left, Drenthe right. Lovely

Disagree, anybody who leaves Everton lately isn't going to a worse team.

Hahahaha!!!

You've changed so much!

Used to rip people for doing line ups, you're even doing serious posts these days.

I hardly recognise the scallywag I used to know.

This is our biggest problem, and Moyes' worst mistake he continues to make. How he hasn't seen yet that defending for most the game and trying to nick one doesn't work is beyond me.

Can anyone remember Norwich creating ANYTHING of even remote importance after the 60th minute mark when we had Drenthe and Straq on?? We played exciting football, and we actually had a go, and as a result they had no possession and no chances. How Moyes can't see that is beyond me.

If he doesn't attack from the off against Swansea then he's a complete and utter mug who doesn't deserve to be in charge.

Can't wait to see him on the same pitch as Landon, opposition full backs will be sh*tting it. With landon they will be able to swap flanks too to keep things lively

Well yes they could be. At the moment we're ranked the 14th best from 92 teams in The Football League and hundreds of non-league teams.

But I didn't say he's in a worse team. I said he's in a worse position, meaning he never gets on the pitch.

Drenthe is fantastic......one thing which hasn't been mentioned.....has Donovan still got the same pace as he had last time -- he's no spring chicken....

The fans have forgotten exciting football. Hell, there's a generation that have never even seen it. I finally clicked on when I saw how excited everyone was when Seamus came through. We had forgotten what it was like to have a player who ran at opponents. And we loved it. But its a poor showing when people are relying on a right back for their excitement.
Crowds are down, atmosphere is down, people feel detached from the club.

I still have faith in Moyes. But for God's sake Davey, wake up and smell the stimulating beverage - give the fans something to cheer.

What about that fella (was his name Donovan?) we had on loan? Wasn't their a South African kid as well? The fog of time has dimmed my memory.

We currently have Baines, Drenthe, Coleman, Gueye and Barkley, McFadden, Osman, Bily that can take on players.

As to whether their good enough? The boards thinks they are, so Moyes has too.

Were them 3 last ones a joke or..?

When Seamus first came through we didn't have Drenthe, Gueye or Barkley in the squad.
Pienaar was a tricky player but he doesn't run at defenders like Coleman did. I agree with Baines but it just supports my arguement, when you are reliant on a full back for creativity and excitement in your team then something is wrong.
