As kenblue says, you end up having to beat the whole defence on your own and Roy's not that good unfortunately.

Fair enough mate.

I still maintain that he's more effective from the right though. I don't see why the Gueye on the left/Drenthe on the right/Ossie in the centre set up was changed from last game. I thought that looked very effective.
 
He was poor, but it was a laughable decision to sub him. He's much more likely to make something happen than ****ing Neville

He made some mistakes and didn't have a great game, but I was just trying to highlight that Moyes has in my opinion inhibited our best creative force this game by playing him in a crap position and as Browns highlighted, offering him no support with his other selections. In addition, he shunted Ossie out wide so amazingly managed to make it as hard as possible for our two best players of late to have a good game.

Its a running joke that Moyes doesnt like players who do stepovers.

Remember that was enforced tho, it was Drenthe left and Coleman right until Coleman had to go off. I'm not sure we'll see Babangida DrenGueySa ever again.

I know mate. I was glad to see Coleman come off -- obviously not glad to see him injured! -- as it did allow that change.

It seems to me though that Moyes' subs seem to be like that very often: reactive, not proactive.
 
I love the guy, and his attacking skill generally outweighs his annoying trait to try too much.

But he was quite gash today like.

Not on the stream I was watching. All I saw was him put his jacket on and sit down, then the camera panned away and went back to the game. Maybe others saw a different reaction on another channel.
 

Drenthe lost the ball maybe 5-6 times in the final third trying to go right at the defender. The last time he did it, Moyes subbed him out within seconds. You could feel it coming even though they didn't show Moyes when it happened. The one good thing Drenthe did was carry the ball into the box and he got taken down. It could have been a penalty but Webb wasn't going to call another after he screwed up the first one.
