Sounds to me like tendinitus mate.

I developed mild hamstring pain doing hill sprints, as part of training for a marathon in 2020.
I didn`t rest it, as I didn`t want to compromise my training plan and it eventually turned into tendinitus, which I`ve had ever since.
The symptoms you describe there, almost mirror mine.
It doesn`t stop me from running, as it`s just a dull ache more than anything and I`ve learnt to live with it.
The only cure I can see, is to stop running until it`s gone, which I`m never going to do lol
