Safari 4 is my browser of choice, as it's pretty cutting edge in terms of features, but still in beta.

This site doesn't work so well with it, and many of the buttons for some reason don't work. Which may well be down to the forum software.

Just given you a heads up for when all the other browsers catch up.

Well I have a 30k turnover per year. I work in the restaurant business because my wife is a manager there and it helps to have two jobs if you are struggling to pay off student debts amongst other things. A2B Chris has two jobs, is either of them a hobby? I doubt it.

The fact that my sites are mainly on Symphony doesn't mean a thing. I write code, doesn't matter if it's on Symphony or Joomla or whatever. The code is still written in accordance of the customer's requirements.

I don't do web design on a small scale. I do very well, but like I say the extra money is worth it when I have debts to pay. And why are you answering questions that I have not had the chance to answer myself.

I thought you were at College. So what exactly do you do?

Look Danny. I am defensive because you have said that I am not a professional web designer. You haven't the first clue what I do. Most of my work on my portfolio is stuff I have done independently. I don't portfolio most of my work because I am just simply not allowed to do so. I sign NDA which prevent me from doing so.

I'm looking for no argument, but I have worked very hard to get where I have got. I have done the **** work, paid my dues, and I am very proud of what I have achieved. What you have said has ripped that to shreds.

You've made a whole lot of assumptions there Ghost.

Your right though, I dont regard web design as a career. My opinion. An opinion coming from someone who could easily claim to be a professional web designer.

How can you claim to be a web designer?

You can't compare what you do to what I do. It's not just a case of writing code. I do an awful lot more than that. I meet clients, I discuss brand reposition, SEO, Content Management Systems, e-Marketing campaigns, logo design, icon development, I work on new designs, converting psd's to standard based code, changing table based layouts to css based layouts. I also do offline work such as business cards, letterheads, etc......

If you can claim that you do that, then you can say you are a professional web designer who creates web content for a living.

What do you do? I'm intrigued anyway.

I have also done a fair few websites (law firms, bands etc) and in terms of companies, SIGames.

But my opinion doesn't matter, I mean... I just run a forum :lol: - You do realise theres a fair amount of coding behind a forum, right? Including all and more of these in one way or another;

What do you do for a living?

I'm a crime fighter.

I meet clients, I discuss brand reposition, SEO, Content Management Systems, e-Marketing campaigns, logo design, icon development, I work on new designs, converting psd's to standard based code, changing table based layouts to css based layouts. I also do offline work such as business cards, letterheads, etc......

SEO, check.
CMS, check.
e-Marketing campaigns, check
Logo design, check
Icon development, check
PSD to code, check

All of the above are evident, or have been, on these forums.

table based layouts to css based, not hard is it?, check

Business cards and letterheads? Come off it. Anyone can. check.

So I am a professional web designer then. Great. So I do have an opinion on the matter?
