My approach to the season since the freakshow that was the first 3 months has pretty much been that of Allardyce really. Little emotion invested, little ambition. Just wanting it over.

To that end, fine on Allardyce. After the past 3 and a half seasons he was exactly what the players deserved- and the board given their complete ineptitude.

So I can't sit here and slate Allardyce- I really haven't been able to care enough. Say thanks for not too much come the summer and move forward with a plan and an ambitious manager to carry it out. I'm down to about 10% confidence that will happen. Where's the boardroom shake-up of March for starters?

I just don't understand people saying "a proper preseason and his own signings and we can see what Sam can do here" if it isn't a complete and utter windup.

Well he is the manager so its understandable that until he has his own preseason and summer window its hard to say what he can and cant do. The mess that Koeman put together barley resembles a football side, cant really judge Sam on sorting that out.
Give it until Christmas is what I think we will do, the idea of having 3 managers in a 12 month period is just a bit daft, unless the first 2 really messed up, which at the mo Sam hasnt done

Not everyone allows crap jokes about ingesting gravy through a straw to cloud their assessment on his managerial ability. Some people are capable of recognising that he is a good manager that has been tasked with sorting out an almighty mess, and that he will improve us if given the time to do so.

If you think he is a good manager your standards are set very low indeed.

When we are in the bottom reaches of the league and there are no managers free?
Yeah but thats speculating but on what? We dont know this will happen

Besides we still dont know what managers are going to be free in the summer, right now there are no decent free ones, Silva would be a stupid move and Fonseca might not come anyway, this is one of the problems we have when it comes to getting shut, we have to have a serious replacement.

The idea of "lets give him until Christmas" is what got us here in the first place. Managers don't typically move in the middle of a season and you are left with what is available. Who, of note, would even be available to come here in the middle of a season?

It's absolutely daft to think that he is the way forward. He's barely shown he is the right choice now ffs.
