Fair to say though that 'idealistic' managers have gone there and come away with a dour point.

He did well today, and I think he's got right under their skin straight away a la Big Joe in the 90s. But we'll have to tweak that strategy for the cup game.

Hopefully a striker is ready to just sign, get a medical and come in and hit the ground running by January 6th or whenever the cup game is.

We'll have no choice but go for a win (IMO) dave, try and take the game to them a bit more (show more passion as well) just hope it's not all like today, sit back and try and catch them on the break, or nick one from a set piece. Depending on how well we continue to do, It'll be interesting how Allardyce approaches (in all reality) a one off game.

I am becoming a massive fan of the Big Sam.

After losing my head early on.
I must admit, since he's been here, the only thing I can criticise him on is, in his post match interview today, he appeared to take credit for the team conceding just 1 goal in the four games since he arrived, compared to the 15 conceded in the previous 4 games. Now that could be construed as a bit of a dig at Unsy, which I think is a bit out of order seeing he is still at the club. Especially as Unsy actually took the team in the first of those games, and provided 75% of the back four in the Cyprus game which Allardyce didn't even attend.

Now before everyone jumps on my back, bare in mind I'm probably looking for things to dislike about him. Normally I only need to see him on telly and I'm swearing at him. But in fairness I've been happy with his various pressers, pleasantly surprised by his team selections including initially playing 2 up front today (despite it not working), and even agreed with him not going to Cyprus midweek and keeping the first XI squad at home.

I'll draw the line at becoming a massive fan of the guy for the moment as it will take time to change my opinion of Allardyce, the person. But I am quite pragmatic and Allardyce, the manager, is so far not turning out quite as badly as I feared.;)

...i’m sure it was a tactic to release the ball quickly in an attempt to get in behind them but it didn’t work. We were very poor when we had the ball.

Yep we were abysmal eggs. Taking Salah off was criminal becsuse it let Cuco off the hook and we actually pushed up 4 inches further up the pitch and started putting 2 passes together.

I'll take a point though because I've seen us go there, play better and get nothing from the game plus it's lovely to see Klopp foaming at the mouth because he didn't get his own way

...absolutely. You think which player we would most want to leave the pitch and Klopp obliged. Amazing.

Couldn't believe it eggs, me and my 9 year old were laughing our heads off. I said to him "he thinks this is sewn up here". Literally 3 minutes later we are cheering our first corner and it was creeping towards the 75m mark when they are only a goal up they look vulnerable and start making rash decisions.

Horrible to watch, but brilliant to see this so called genius Klopp makes the kind of decisions a dad makes when he's manager of a kids Sunday league side on a 3 game unbeaten run

Klopp was a victim of his own ego today, as anyone with half a brain would`ve made sure Martina got battered on his side, meaning the centre halves would get pulled out of position covering for the waste of space.

Instead, he knew best and thought they`d win it no problems anyway.

If he had any humility, he`d hold his hands up and admit his mistake.

He should also be forcing Henderson into an apology too for his behaviour after the game ( hopefully it`ll be in the refs report too )
