I wouldn't say so mate. Thats a bit tin foil hat for me. lol

Quite possibly, its an interesting dynamic in fairness. I think the club listened to the fans and on Koeman and Martinez im not sure that is the right approach really. In many ways the club need to put down a boundary, politically of course.

Ultimately we may as well have stuck with Martinez, the journey from Martinez to Koeman to Sam, has been a massive waste of time and resources. But if he does go, here we are again another impulsive shot in the dark and all we have seen what goes with it. Its all very poor timing in my opinion and wouldn't leave me with great confidence in those running the club.
I respect but ultimately reject your argument. There is nothing to preserve or sustain here. The only option we have is to change the manager in order to avoid a complete meltdown of the club support and the rupturing of the club from the fans.

In short: we cant stick, we have to twist.

What is your evidence that the players like him? All I've seen that's directly positively referencing him has been from the articles on the clubs website. Do you expect the players to say something else to the media arm of the club? Or would you expect the club to put it up if they did?

The few mentions of him from players to outlets like sky have been anything but effusive. When Walcott was asked about how he compared to Wenger he stuttered as it was such a ridiculous question then intimated that he's no where near the intricacy that Wenger works with.

Yes, it's treating him harshly to judge him on style rather than the what he was brought in to do - get the team focussed and picking up enough points to make sure we're in no danger. But he has in no way shape or form proven he deserves another season. And neither are the club honour bound to hand it to him, regardless of length of contract. Allardyce isn't the man to roll out a plan for a club that builds its team over a number of years and any additional seasons with him in charge delays us achieving that.

It's not personal with me. He's done his job. Now he can go.

Can't believe I'm doing this again... twice in one day I totally agree dave

You need to ask yourself what Everton can possibly achieve by keeping Allardyce in place for another season. Let's say we finish 7th/8th again, then what? His contract is up at the end of next season, so all we will have done is delay possible progress by another 12 months.

Let's get in a manager who can build a long term project and give us fans something to believe in again.

Jags,Williams, baines,Rooney all 32+ and other players will need to be shipped out and others to come in. Makes no sense to give sam or Walsh any money . Even if sam stays for a year the new manager is going to lumbered with all sams players and probably lose the chance to work with players like vlasic and lookman etc if they leave because of sam .

Dont think he has lost all the fans mate, even this thread is a mixed bag. He definitely hasnt lost the players in my opinion in fact the opposite, the board im not so sure on, hes given them a decision, i suspect he hasnt lost them if im honest, a lot of that is speculation of course.
Well there was a few on the Merseyside phone in not happy with Goodlass for wanting Sam gone

Ive spoken to them all indiviually mate.

Well thats cool, i think ultimately opinions are entrenched and polarized and im not trying to change them in reality, just offering some objectivity and widening the debate, which at times can be a bit narrow i think on this issue.

I think your envisaged future may be a bit hyperbole if im honest, but then we have been no strangers to meltdown in our recent history, really sticking or twisting could lead to it.

If he stays, then what? Where do we go from there? Just another season of existing in the league, maybe a cup run somewhere? I don’t understand how people can get behind that. We just exist at the moment, not a threat to any team worth a damn. Sorry but I can’t get behind that.

Just because we are winning doesn’t mean he not lost the players, Walcott just last week took the Micky out of him.
He’s lost the fans, why anyone would want Allardyce next year is beyond me, I want what best for Everton and he isn’t, also it’s more of we all want him gone just people are disagreeing with if he here or not next season....of which he isn’t.

Finally a lot of the Sam backers are new accounts and are obviously WUMS
