There is talk of Arteta being brought in to be assistant to FS, could be a ploy to appease the fans, just a thought like.

Good god imagine that, I imagine Mikel sees the game very much like pep does - imagine him talking football and tactics with this dinosaur....

"Eh Bu noooor Mikellll, we dunt do dat, ge the ball and hit it to our boy Tosun. No passing lark ere my lad"

Arteta leaves a Spanish shaped hole in the side of finch farm wall where he legged it for his life.

Haha.

I'm not advocating Silva for the job, but people automatically assuming he'd relegate us is absolute nonsense. Hull City were relegation favourites when he took over and he had a bloody good go at keeping them up. I guarantee the overwhelming majority of Hull fans would take him back tomorrow without blinking. And he had Watford in the top half playing exciting football before we turned his head.

I don't know about taking us down. I'd say theres more chance of HIM dumping US when a bigger club comes calling.
Silva wouldn’t be my first choice. But I heard a lot Hull fans saying it was the best football they had ever seen at Hull.
Also like other people have mentioned. A load of mangers now considered amongst the best in world, got relegated early in their careers.

I'd LOVE To be in the room when kenwright, moshiri, or whoever is in charge of our club, goes and offers that to him.
'Hey Mikel, you know we all love you. (bill's eyes water. 'remember the good old days, mikel?') Do you want to swap working for Pep for working for Sam. Sam is a former international manager you know! loads more EPL experience than Pep, who's a pup in terms of experience. And if our club doesn't implode and the we still get the new stadium, you can be U23 manager in 4 years, if we haven't offered that to Alan Pardew, and if sammy lee isn't director of football, or if the cycle of LVG, Eddie Howe, Arsene and then Alan Curbishley is over by then and the job is available, and if Wayne isn't ready for it yet. And then if you step in as a caretaker that's a fast track to the big job! So if that's all cool with you, how's £2million per year?'

Yeah becuase it Hull, of ciurse it was the best they have seen, but since when has Everton aspired to play as goid as Hull ? Chances are it was worse then we have seen at Goodison recently

As I said, I'm not advocating him and he's far from my first choice. In fact, I don't know who I want if I'm honest, just the type of football I want to see. But if he was appointed I'd give him my full backing and support, as I've done with every other Everton manager up until Allardyce. I just don't understand the negativity towards him is all I'm saying, and there seems to be a lot of it.

Compared to Steve Bruce’s style of football even Allardyce comes out on top, so hardly a yardstick.

He did a good job there though, even with the relegation as he gave them a chance of staying up when they were buried at Christmas

Barney....no Silva, please.

And far from having a “bloody good go” at keeping them up, he totally tanked in the last six matches when they were looking more likely to stay up than go down.

Now....I would rather have him than Sam, don’t worry ‘bout that.

But that is more to do with what I feel about Sam than what I feel about Silva.

And as for worrying about a “bigger club” coming a’ calling for him?

Well Arsenal are looking for a manager.....probably Chelsea as well.

I wonder if he is in the frame for those jobs

Ha ha be serious
It doesn’t matter if you’re the best team in the country or in div 2, all fans know the difference between good football and hoof ball.

Ok so who would you want as manger?

Good football dosent get you relegated, the idea that because someone nearly kept Hull up they are a good manager is crazy, Hull didn't play good football at all.

I've said for ages I want Nuno from Wolves but like a lot of the mangers we want I can't see him coming. I want someone better then Sam, which clearly isn't Silva, not if your judging on results

So you watched all hull’s games under silva then? And we shouldn’t aspire to Hull, but it’s ok to aspire to wolves.

Ok we will never know what would have happened at Watford, had we not appoched silva. But going off the start he made. They would have comfortably stayed in the league. And his Watford team played much better football than our current team. With a much cheaper group of players.

Silva like I’ve said wouldn’t be my 1st 2nd or 3rd choice. But if the choice is silva or Sam. I would take silva everyday.

Beggars belief anyone would rather stick with Allardyce rather than go with Silva.

It underlines how utterly shattered a section of the support of this club is. They are stumbling around in a stupor not knowing where the next blow is coming from and cant make the rational judgement to sit down and allow a solid sensible decision to be made to get us out of this abyss.
