There has been a lot of luck involved. Swansea and Huddersfield were probably the only games where I'd describe us as being comfortable. I think it's hard with the players at his disposal but there's little to think he's the man to this around.

There’s no excuse for how he setup in our last two away games. He’s rode his luck massively, anduf we didn’t get the pen against Swansea in the first half, god knows how that would have panned out

Yes it was poor and not food enough but why does it always have to be such a dramatic reaction.

It’s inkeeping with our away record over the past 12 months

Cos we don't expect to pick up 1 point against 2 smaller clubs. Sam got what he deserves today.

His decision to play a non existence McCarthy and a crap CB pairing again is a bit shocking. Just play Williams and Holgate when we are keeping clean sheets.

Ffs lads, we've lost one game and are sitting in ninth place, with the same squad of players that Koeman and Unsworth put us in a relegation fight with. At least let's get the January window out of the way and give it month or so to see how things are shaping up.

I think some of us here are completely delusional. Just look at that squad. Look at it hard and long. I savour every point this team wins because it's just utter shambles, that team sheet. In my opinion, we have some very tough couple of years in front of us. I don't see Everton getting together a squad that is actually able to play football anytime soon. We had that in Roberto's first season, remember how bright we thought the future looked. But where we always get it wrong is buying players who have a strong character, who want to fight, who want to play for a good side and who don't shy away from going through some rough patches on the way. Say what you will about the Burnleys and West Broms and Watfords in this league but what I see every time we play against those teams is players who might not be the finest footballers but who fight for their privilege of earning tons of money doing what they grew up loving. Haven't seen that at Everton in years and I must admit I'm amazed by the quality Sam has been able to get out of this tragedy of a squad.

Sorry mate but you don't go to West Brom and Bournemouth no matter how bad you think the squad is and go defensively looking for a 0-0 when both teams we are playing are absolutely dire and have zero confidence. Wouldn't mind if we had no confidence but we did after a nice little run and Big Sam has just taken that away with his dire tatics and team selections.

I'm not particularly amazed. We haven't played very well but we've done the basics right and in this league that will pick you up a lot of points outside the top 6. I know the squad is awful but I'm just surprised people see Allardyce as the man who is capable of turning it around.

Yeah, my point is that no man in this world could turn it around with this squad

Needs to be giving Lookman , Vlasic and Niasse a chance . Even Klassan. DCL and Lennon have had more than enough chances to show that they don't offer an attacking threat, and Bolasie needs a handful of games in the U23's.

Oh mike, jesus

We are horrific. No team is as unbalanced as this, teams might be low on quality but at least they have enough players to play in positions familiar to them. Cuco Martina, a mid-table League 1 right back is our first choice left back because the previous obese moron of a manager decided not to buy or register one. Phil Jagielka, our worst ever captain who's been finished for 4 years, is a starting centre back. Oumar Niasse and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are our goal threat. That's as bad as it gets in this league.

But we’ve done a lot better than expected away from home the last few games before that. Today is the norm over the last 18 months not the exception.

Again so why are people calling for him to be sacked etc
