See people coming out now saying we wouldn't have gone down under Koeman. Does anyone actually think that? Absolute rubbish for me. Go and watch the games against Spurs, Arsenal, Atalanta, Burnley under Koeman- we were doomed.

Don't want Allardyce anywhere near us next season or right now for that matter but at the time, no one else would take the job. It's delusional to think we'd be better off now if Koeman was still here.
Tbh mate, I don`t think people are actually saying that.

I think what they`re saying is that we wouldn`t be any worse off, which is something we`ll never know.

Allardyce`s biggest problem is himself, he`s made even the fence sitters, " Large Samuel " supporters turn on him, with his arrogance, his refusal to take any responsibility for anything, pointing the fingers of blame, at every one but himself.

Things probably wouldn`t have been any better if Koeman had stayed and he looked a broken man in the end, who was ready to go anyway.

For an experienced manager, he hasn`t got a clue how to get the fans on side.

His " what do you know " / " I know best " attitude, combined with the way he gets it across, the smirk, the shrug of the shoulders, just makes you want to take his head off.

Sorry mate, he`s brought it all on himself.

I know mate and I'm not trying to defend Allardyce. He's a disgrace. Just making the point about how useless we were under Koeman.

It's a myth. He doesn't improve defenders whatsoever. He simply throws a line of deep lying midfielders a few metres ahead of them for a spell.

One thing you can't criticise Moyes for is that he coached defenders well. We've watched them improve in front of our eyes. This fella? Pick a defender from his last 4 jobs who has improved?

All Allardyce did was put 11 men behind the ball, but some would have you believe it was actually a tactical master class.

We need massive protests on Saturday, not just directed at Allardyce, but also at the board who continue to allow this catastrophe to get worse.

Lol, think we managed about one banner against the board in the last 2 decades. The Everton fan base does not want success it’s as simple as that, too many too bothered by their image to be seen boycotting a game, protesting, or even booing a player. They pay their money, go the game, sit in complete silence, expect the same from everyone else, and politely clap at the end of whatever dross has been served up. Why should the board push for success when the fans aren’t arsed either way? They gave us Sam Allardyce and didn’t even bother buying a left back and ourvtesponse was a waiting list on season tickets. Shots fired by the fan base there.

What would cheering do? Say we cheer and get mega supportive, then Farhad and Bill go... o he won over the fans and keep him. The fact is we want him gone and the easy way to do that is to boo and chant we want him out. Which we do, well everyone but you anyway.
Am confused here mate!

This 100%. Ronald Koeman is without question the worst thing to happen to Everton in my lifetime. Not only would he probably have taken us down, but the total cost of putting his legacy right (IE, getting rid of the dross he bought) will likely cost in excess of £100 million.

Now Martinez...that’s a different matter. 2 Semi finals & a disappointing 12th with a tiny squad, a finished keeper, ageing defence & no cover across the squad....
If he’d been given half of what Koeman had, we wouldn’t be where we are now.

If Crystal Palace get anything out of their game tonight, then we will be just 6 points above the bottom 3. We were about 5 points above the bottom 3 when this clown took over as i recall. That is what Allardyce has brought us, absolutely nothing, zilch. Well that's not strictly correct because he has actually made us the most boring, unwatchable and embarrassing team in the Premier League on top of there being no improvement whatsoever.

I still have a gut feeling that there might be an emergency meeting this morning which will result in him parting company with us later today, not unlike the way Koeman's tenure ended. Might be more wishful thinking than gut feeling though.

Get him gone Moshiri. We can get 6 points in the last 9 games without him. In fact there is probably more chance of it without him.

I really hope you're right on this. But I suspect Moshiri (never one to shirk a panic), might still fear for our safety without the 'relegation messiah' at the helm. However, only our home 'form' (such as it is), is saving jellyhead. If he doesn't go today, then lose at home on Saturday and any logic for keeping him has surely evaporated.

And of course, if Martinez could have tweaked his (largely admirable) footballing philosophy to take defending/game management a little more seriously..

Utter rubbish.

Our fans are notorious for showing their displeasure, we probably boo the team off more than any other set of fans in the country. We've been booing substitutions for weeks, booing our own players coming on, we've booed players passing the ball backwards when we're winning 3-0, booed them off at half time in a cup semi final that we were losing 1-0 to the most successful club in the country, hounded out successive managers and are well on the way to doing it again with a third.

We might not do the orchestrated marches and videos that Kopites do, but to suggest that we don't want success, or that we don't show dissatisfaction, is absolute garbage. It's like you've got a weird Noel Edmonds thing going on, where if we all just believed that we were dead good, we would be. It doesn't work like that. Even Liverpool with all their boss campaigns against everyone and every thing have got absolutely nowhere near the league title that they crave. United had a massive movement against the glazers, and everyone wore Norwich scarves and sang songs about how they were going to get them out and get their club back. Hows that looking 10 years down the line?

I follow Everton up and down the country, I cheer till i'm hoarse, I clap, I sing, I roar with everything I've got every time we cross the halfway line at Anfield, and I shout, swear and even boo when i'm not happy. Guess what? None of the things I've done have ever made us win a trophy. There are many, many people responsible for the mess we find ourselves in, but the 40,000 people who turn up every week are not.

I am with you there about the possibility of him being gone very soon.

Because although I am not on Team Silva myself, I think that if Moshiri still wants him for next season then he would be better off acting now and signing him in case he takes up another offer, like at Baggies or somewhere.

I must say I haven’t seen anyone saying that on here but if they have, I think they are wrong.

Koeman was running us into the ground and needed firing otherwise our position right now would be very precarious.
