A dreadful shame if that’s the last football he plays. At his age anything similar to what Townsend is experiencing probably is the end.

But if he does decide to rehab and try to play on I hope we look after him (and I’m sure we will)- some sort of contract (even if greatly reduced) for next season while he rehabs or at the absolute least the use of the facilities and staff to do his rehab.

People are far too quick in writing Seamus off, we don't even know the full extent of the injury yet and we have already seen him recover from a worse injury.
There was no oxygen needed and that fist up to the Everton supporters tells me that it may not be as bad as feared.
I full expect to see him in an Everton jersey again.

No oxygen needed as he’s built from different cloth is Seamus, imagine if that was the sh 1t house A. Robertson, he’d be on a ventilator accompanied by a crash team.

…the immediate pain will not be as bad but this could be as serious an injury as the double leg break. Remember VVD walked off the pitch & to the dressing room after his purely accidental collision with Pickford.

A proper captain, Seamus. Absolutely gutted for him and wishing him a speedy recovery. Would love to see a stand at BMD named in his honor.
If stands are being named, it should be for people who actually won stuff. I love Seamus but there are far more deserving ex players and managers that should be ahead of him.
