He’s not a player I am particularly worried about losing to be honest, no. And definitely don’t think it’s a certainty that he’d leave if we were relegated either.
Garner I think is more a players player or a managers player than a fans player.

Can play in a few positions, rarely has a poor game but is not high profile and doesn't grab headlines.

The kind of player managers love to have in their squads.

19th in the table 24 points relegated

If we’d done that there’d be no takeover, we’d be leasing our new stadium, and Pickford Branthwaite Garner Calvert Lewin and nearly every other single player would be out the door and Ndiaye would never have even joined. We’d be looking at points deductions in the championship if we’d gone into administration.

But yeah when the club would have been in its worst position in its modern history we could all remember the possession stats the season before.

Dyche being in the bottom 3 for ball in play time doesn’t actually count for anything when he’s sat on 48 points and we’re in the premier elague whereas Kompany is in the actual bottom 3 and Burnley fans can now enjoy the championship.

Are you a davek multi or something?

we were talking about appreciating styles of football. Nothing to do with points and relegation and the fact that better coaches can coach better level of players and be successful with their style of play.

Such as kompany who was relegated with Burnley and more or less immediately signed by bayern to be their new manager and is currently top of the league. Plus hes already installed his own style of play on the team.

Then we have dyche who relegated the same team twice played the worst football too of ever graced this league. Got sacked and no one wanted to touch him with a smelly end of a rag man's trumpet. Apart from our basket case club when the idiots who run were absolutely desperate.

Hes nearly two years into his time here and he hasnt instilled any identity to this team. I dont know what we're trying to on the pitch, theres no evidence of any improvement on players form or attacking play. Were at the same level 2 years in as we were on his first game.

But hey ho let worship the ground dyche walks on because he kept us up last season...

You clearly weren’t on here during the Martinez days if you think I’m a Davek multi.

Football is about points though, and actually fans do care about relegation. I’m sure fans of Burnley didn’t appreciate their club’s PL status being used as an experiment by Kompany to showcase his coaching style to other clubs.

The league table is the only objective measurement of football effectiveness. Last season Dyche coached Everton to football that was twice as effective as Kompany’s at Burnley. Out of the 20 teams Kompany’s Burnley played the 19th worst football. That’s not my opinion, it’s a fact, as evidenced by the league table.

If Kompany had come into Everton and brought us 19th with 24 points not a single person would care about any aspect of his football ‘style’ or how quickly he got Bayern Munich playing it once he’d jumped ship from us.
