Oh ok,
So we only compare dyche to Lampard or Rafael, when it’s positive?
No? Quite the opposite really, the point is that we didn't do anything away at top sides under them either, so specifying 'under Dyche' wasn't really necessary. It was less a defence of Dyche and more a comment on our record away at top clubs in general - I think in the 30 years or so I've been going to games we've won a cumulative 5 times at Old Trafford, Anfield, Arsenal and Chelsea, and 2 of them were behind closed doors. On that basis it seem pretty pointless to lay the blame at the door of a manager.

Who cares if we 'try to win' those games? You say that like he actively wants to lose. There's ways to win other than just being kamikaze or even just attacking.

End of the day, we're not title challengers, we're not challenging for Europe. It would be nice to get results at some of their places, but it's not what Dyche will be judged on. It's not what any Everton manager will be judged on until we're actually challenging those sides in the table, and those results are actual 6 pointers, that will determine if we can push on.

No problem at all with him setting up conservatively. The odd one off win is not gonna undo or neutralise the damage to morale due to us getting thrashed by them regularly due to being naive and going to them grounds and being easy to play through.
Forest just won at anfield, palace have won at city over the years ,
Bournemouth won 3-0 at utd last season. Im there’s plenty of others.

So you don’t care that we have a manager who’s not trying to win some games, his whole remit is go away as set up for a point, maybe we a few 1-0’s get a few draws,
Win 6 home games against the bottom 10, 2 agaisnt the 10 and its job done you finish 16th to 12th. And that’s the same every season. But you also probably think give dyche a few more years and some money and his mentality will change, well it won’t and it’s not a sign of progress

but we have gone to a lot of them grounds and got results, not many wins granted,
But a lot of draws that should have been wins. But if the plan is to sit deep and give city, arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea etc 85% of the ball, it’s only gong to end one way.

But dyche is a much better manager than Lampard and Rafael, you keep telling us this. My point is he doesn’t even try to win them games

I'm loving your use of his first name, no doubt showing due courtesy to the great man and that 'great night'.

Loving the constant lower case 'd' for Dyche as well. Petty mindedness in its purest, most beautiful, form.

United weren't a top 6 side. Forest won at Anfield by actually doing a Dyche, but don't let that hide the fact that according to you they weren't actually trying to win the game.

Stop saying he's not trying to win games like he's actively trying to lose them. Seems to me you can't have a go at him for recent results or form, so you're looking for other things to have at go at him for.

Forest won a game they weren’t trying to win
Absolute gold 😂😂😂😂

I hated the man don’t be a p.r.i.c.k all your life. I put R a f a, but changes when I send post for some reason

First off I'll say I want us to win the league.

I appear to be in the 'Dyche in camp' by default as I genuinely think after being asset stripped for 3 seasons on the bounce and having 8 points deducted, that would have seen off just about every other team in the bottom half of the table.

I absolutely can't get past that Dyche has definitely kept us out of the Championship and we definitely aren't out of the woods yet.
One of the most sensible posts todate.

We all want the team to be successful. But when we have to sell our assets every year. Point deduction and no money to bring in players. Dyche is a good manager to come in and settle.

Look what happened with Allardyce..I was in the Camp Big Sam out.
Looking back we should have had one more season with him before getting in a progressive manager.

“Camp Big Sam”…he’s hidden that well.

I just don't think that matters in the slightest to be honest, a loss is a loss and more often than not we lose at those grounds. When I was at Anfield to watch us lose 4-0 to a Liverpool side that had about 50 shots under Martinez I don't recall coming away saying 'nice to see us take the game to them though wasn't it?'. Good teams playing at home to poor teams will win more often than not, it's not a hugely controversial take I don't think.

We lose the first four, and it’s “look who we played!”

We go unbeaten in four and tumbleweeds. Our two wins are from games against 2 teams below us. That Bournemouth loss is an absolute horror show and Villa a little less so, but still gutting considering where we were in the game.

While it looks like normal Dyche service has somewhat resumed, last season and the start of this tells me we’ve got at least one catastrophic run of form in us and I simply don’t back him to get us the points we need to offset it.

I’m #DycheOut all day.

The point that @St Domingos and @Lanolin are making ( correctly in my view and I'm one of Dyche's biggest critics ) is that our away record against the "bigger" teams has been pretty terrible for a long time.

Even going back to Moyes' time we had the "knife to a gunfight" quote.

It's that mentality , not just Dyche , that has to change under TFG.

Still Dyche out if we beat Fulham
Or Dyche maybe

His remit isnt to sit back and play for a point.

Away from home we have been very open at times, defending high to try and win the ball high up the pitch.

Go watch the game at the weekend and look at how high Doucoure and Gana were trying to win the ball.

Sometimes it's worked, sometimes it's gone horribly wrong like Chelsea last season.

Go see the amount of goals we've scored under Dyche winning the ball high up the pitch. We don't sit and play for a point.
