2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Generally a fan of dyche but that situation with the McNeil injury and not having some one ready was pathetic. The player signalled to come off as soon as he went down.

The fact we had to play with 10 men for a short period was negligence

Because with a knife at our throats we had aa manager capable of pulling out a season like that...the same manager who's not good enough for us now.
So he should be able to do it without a knife to his throat surely? Yet you are acting as if he is only capable on 17th.

I said it yesterday, acting as if we shouldn’t be getting results from games like Fulham is ludicrous. As essentially, we are now writing off the games vs the top 6, the games vs the money clubs (Newc and Villa), the games vs the mighty Brighton and mighty fulham, we get talked down about expecting results vs the promoted teams as they are desperate and try harder and play better football blah blah blah.

So that leaves, West Ham, palace, Brentford, Bournemouth, Forest and wolves.

And we have already lost to Bournemouth. and I’m sure excuses can be found for Dyche as to why we shouldn’t be winning the others.

One of the positive aspects of this season for me so far is the extended squad impacting Keane, Young and yesterday Beto. Lindstrom for all the questions i have about him changed the dynamic yesterday. Don't know if many know Garner got out of his sick bed to play Vs Leicester.

Seems like a great attitude and spirit in the camp.

Always evident when you see the extended squad impacting.

I think the best thing about Dyche mate is that he's a manager with resolve; he's made the decision that he wont chance playing a different way that could hold us open to danger in games and thereby threaten the PL status of the club. He'll stick at getting players to work hard behind the ball and never give up.

Until the finances are on their feet again I'll take that 100%.

The only thing that keeps me going mate is that Dyche will be gone at the end of the season.

His days are numbered will be gone within a week of the takeover being completed
I don’t think he will.

I think it’ll be the summer. That gives the Friedkins time to get their feet under the table, asses the club operation and get a plan in place to execute in the summer.

The last thing we need is to limit our transfer power by paying off Dyche, his team, and our new manager’s current club when we don’t really have to.

He’ll keep us up, but little more. That’s fine as a baseline to start from.

You see this is the difference - that’s your ambition, not a lot of supporters. Expectation is to do better than that - e.g. similar or slightly better than last year
I think you may be confusing expectation with reality.

What are our expectations? , realistic expectations based on the last 10 years ? ,20 years ? ,thirty years ?

Staying in the division is realism.

Hoping that our new owners may be able to build the club into something more than what we have is realism.

Accepting that will take several years is realism.

Aside from Pickford and Beto supposedly shouting across at the bench. Not convinced it’s all rosy.

People complaining that we rescued a point at home to what is a far superior team are amusing to me. Fulham's realistic goal for the season is to crack the top 7/8; ours is to stay in the PL. They've always bossed us about at Goodison in the last few years. Not exactly a surprise therefore that we have to hang on and make it a close game for as long as we can and try and grab something from the game.

The same people would have the new flavour of the month in here...and if he failed they'd slide away back into the shadows or start rioting that the board had destabilised us.

I find it absolutely 'kin comical, tbh: the clamour to destabilise us and sack a man we all know can keep us safe just on the off chance we get a new manager who hands us 20 minute spells in games where the football is easier on the eye.

There's no getting through to these people; they're unreachable.

Sorry, but your backing of Benitez , even when he was setting fire to the club and who was the most destructive manager in the history of the club, pretty much renders your opinion null and void:

Fulham are a way better outfit than us.

Can you imagine us going to Man City and create chance after chance and have them holding on in a 3-2 game?
Way better than us is somewhat of an exaggeration considering they have just 1 more win than us and only 3 more points and we lost the first 4 games of the season on the bounce. It is very amusing watching people try to make playing negative rubbish yesterday, luckily stealing a point but throwing 2 points away into a positive thing. Carry on Dave. Giving me a good laugh.

I'm afraid we're howling at the moon a little folks, but i get venting on here is better than kicking the cat and being done for animal cruelty.

Dyche won't change. If anything he's more likely to more trenchantly adhere to shape and defense first if we hit a run of bad results.

Until we have new owners, he ain't going away i don't think.

Turbo frustrating to watch. Everton should be done for cruelty to fans.
This is bang on 😂 I think elsewhere on here I’ve likened Dyche’s reign to a prison beating. I’m just closing my eyes and enduring it as it can’t last forever and I can hear the footsteps of the Guards on the landing heading towards us. It’ll all be over soon.

Anyone who thinks Dyche has done a decent job needs to scratch their head, he has done the job any average grassroots manager can do, he is nothing more than an Old PE teacher, he has zero game plan, the subs he makes are always like for like (anyone can do that, you don't have to be that qualified to work that out)
He says the same things week after week.
He has been here 20 months and we are exactly the same position ie awful but with different players
ZERO PROGRESS AT ALL
so NO he hasn't done a decent job

Actually just factually inaccurate. League position, points per game, points total. Any metric you want would say we’ve improved from when he arrived.
