2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I totally get setting up like against city or arsenal but to do it against Fulham seems so negative and if you give a goal away you’re then relying on a snatched 94th min equaliser to salvage something .

Feels like you’re just creating problems for yourself , he doesn’t need to be adventurous free flowing but they aren’t binary choices . Just maybe not completely surrendering the ball .

He set us up like that against Doncaster in the cup.

It’s the only way he knows how to play footy.

One of the positive aspects of this season for me so far is the extended squad impacting Keane, Young and yesterday Beto. Lindstrom for all the questions i have about him changed the dynamic yesterday. Don't know if many know Garner got out of his sick bed to play Vs Leicester.

Seems like a great attitude and spirit in the camp.

Always evident when you see the extended squad impacting.
I felt that Beto looked relieved and emotional from the anxiety on his performances as much as joyous yesterday. Pickford was having a barney at the gaffer, and word is that DCL isn't signing until Dyche leaves. Patterson has been frozen out. I think there's some bonding in the squad but I wouldn't say it's harmonious, I would doubt any professional sports team is mind. I do think they work for eachother.

I honestly think the Dyche-out people are a cult now. A cult with some genuine people at the periphery who want an uptick in the style of play.

It's Branch Davidian-like.

The ones right at the centre of it aren’t just Dyche out. They’ve wanted every manager out. They’ve not posted a single positive post in the years they’ve been on the forum. Gleefully proclaiming impending relegation yet disappear when we win games and can’t even enjoy a derby win. As soon as we’re linked with a new manager they’ll be against him as well, and if they’re not immediately they’ll give it until he loses his first game and then start the campaign.

Dyche has played an absolute blinder, he's convinced some of our fans that he's some sort of miracle worker.
I have seen one Dychette on here comparing a full season of Dyche to half a season of Carlo to try and make him look good. I kid you not.
He has his fan boys convinced that the highest aim we should have is avoiding relegation and we couldn't do it without him. Can't wait till Friedkin show him just how much they value his performance and ambition when the takeover is complete.

How can we have improved?

1 question did you see any and I mean any patterns of play yesterday? (That they worked on in training)

That's the thing, Dyche has been here ages and I still look at games and wonder how he actually sets us up to play tactically, there is never any pattern to our play and the only glaring tactic is us just hoofing it up at every opportunity.

Well unless my eyes have deceived me we were 19th under Lampard off the back of finishing 17th the season before yet after one full season of Dyche we finished the equivalent of 12th in 48 points. Do you genuinely consider this not to be any improvement?

You simultaneously say he’s got no game plan or patterns of play and then also complain that he does the exact same thing each time and plays in the same predictable way, both can’t be true.

If you were right, and we had no organised style of play whatsoever then we wouldn’t be gaining a single point in the most difficult league in the world. Most PL sides cut through even championship sides at ease, so if we’re finishing 12th over 38 games then clearly you saying we’re not working on anything in training is quite simply just not true.

Now you can day you don’t like the game plan, you don’t like the style. That’s fine, but just saying there isn’t one after 9 points and 5 games unbeaten in the premier league is just honestly sounding ridiculous.

The irony in all this is that if Dyche had been prepared to go at the likes of Fulham etc, especially at home and try to win the game then yesterday would have looked a good point.

Its totally baffling that we have players who are capable but being hamstring by his tried and tested methods. We will survive but that's it.

This squad is capable of getting 10th or 11th with a more progressive attack minded manager.

Roll on the end of the season.

Yeah wouldn't disagree with that on Beto, working hard, get a limited opportunity, reaches a goal and a release - whatever motivates is fine if it yields an outcome.

Wouldn't be the slightest bit concerned ive seen a few of these players melt, stand with their hands on their hips looking at their boots. If there's passion im ok with that.

Nathans been injured a long time. Not sure he can give what Young has over the last 4 - so he knows the job of work for a shirt.

Couldn't give a flyer who likes who etc, its speculating ultimately, always concerned when a manger is liked, its far better better to be respected.

As you say in any team and a group of men there will always be a degree of conflict and tension, its how you manage it is key.

Ultimately though - as per original point its great to see a whole squad contributing and taking chances once given - its been to many years since weve seen it.

As soon as that Iwobi shot hit the back of the net the Relegation thread on here was top of the board.

They are praying for the worst - like some End of Days loony tunes religion.

Yeah don't disagree just expanding on your point really. Sometimes there's more to it than "Dyche bad" vs "Dyche good". This thread's a mess on both sides.
