We’ve had a very, very kind fixture list though, and IMO haven’t made the best of it. December looks terrifying.
Couldn't say i see much difference between last and this season so far mate!

We have won 7 PL games in 2024. That is 7 games out of the last 27. If indeed that is an improvement, the bar could not possibly be any lower. It is absolutely shocking and even more so that some people are happy with it.On all the metrics he just listed.
You can not want Dyche long term but the reality is, he’s improved us since he came in. We were only going one way and he’s turn the ship around and will leave us in the summer as a side comfortably lower mid table.
Obviously not if they have only won one more game and are just 3 points ahead of a side that have only won 2 games this season. The players they have, overall, are superior.

I do get some of that. I do. But we finished 22 points clear of relegation last year (obvious point deduction caveat here). Yet even Dyche’s biggest advocates on here think he is incapable of any more than aiming for 17th this year. Where is the team building, the development? Fulham are apparently aiming for Europe yet Dyche finished above them last year. Why aren’t Fulham aiming for 17th? It’s a tacit admission by his supporters that he’s limited and can’t progress a team. Yet, they are fine with it. It’s not like we’re shooting for the moon, I just expect a highly paid manager 20 months into the job with a base of his own players to maybe, just maybe, have the ambition to jump a couple of league placings from the year before. That’s it. Why do his supporters think he is going to drop off so much this year that 17th will be a good and acceptable season from him?I think you may be confusing expectation with reality.
What are our expectations? , realistic expectations based on the last 10 years ? ,20 years ? ,thirty years ?
Staying in the division is realism.
Hoping that our new owners may be able to build the club into something more than what we have is realism.
Accepting that will take several years is realism.
They will talk about the takeover and getting to new stadium. Nothing to do with the actual football or quality of the manager.I do get some of that. I do. I am not talking about were we finished in this season or that season, because when Sam Alladyce was here we finished 8th.Well unless my eyes have deceived me we were 19th under Lampard off the back of finishing 17th the season before yet after one full season of Dyche we finished the equivalent of 12th in 48 points. Do you genuinely consider this not to be any improvement?
You simultaneously say he’s got no game plan or patterns of play and then also complain that he does the exact same thing each time and plays in the same predictable way, both can’t be true.
If you were right, and we had no organised style of play whatsoever then we wouldn’t be gaining a single point in the most difficult league in the world. Most PL sides cut through even championship sides at ease, so if we’re finishing 12th over 38 games then clearly you saying we’re not working on anything in training is quite simply just not true.
Now you can day you don’t like the game plan, you don’t like the style. That’s fine, but just saying there isn’t one after 9 points and 5 games unbeaten in the premier league is just honestly sounding ridiculous.

I am talking about the football on show has not improved and will not improve whilst this man is here.
Us fans have to go to Goodison and watch that, knowing that all we are doing is watch the other team have the ball see what they do it and when it breaks to us we lump it forward then hope their defender makes a mistake, then as fans we then get on the strikers back to say he is rubbish etc, then rinse and repeat for the next game.
Yesterday we got excited when one of those lumps up the field won us a throw in, in the final 1/3 of the pitchand we win the odd corner
we got outplayed by Southampton at H in the cup, (Shouldn't we be taking the game to teams like Southampton Fulham at home etc rather than watch them have the ball?
In 20 months he has been here, forget about league positions points etc, when have you come away from Goodison and said we battered that team today, or we thougherly deserved that win today?
Do you not want to be entertained?
Goodison is as flat as a witches #££![]()
any half qualified manager from the lower leagues can set a team up to defend in 2 banks of 4, that is all Dyche has done and all that he knows.
So my original thought and point is since he has been here the football on show has actually got worse, we still don't look like scoring and when the other team score 1st it's basically game over hence why after 70 minutes yesterday lots of fans started leaving their seats, they have had enough and 98% of others have had enough.
please don't say we got a point yesterday after going a goal down, we totally got out of jail yesterday you know it and everyone else knows it, if it wasn't for his favourite McNeil going off we would have been beaten again at home against an average team that we once used to beat every season before Dyche got here
He is awful. And I mean awful! That performance(?!) yesterday was nothing short of a disgrace. As others have said, we offer absolutely nothing apart from long ball after long ball. We sit off teams, allow them to have the ball and when we do get it, we mostly give it them straight back from a Pickford/CB long ball. It’s all very well saying his hands are tied/finances etc but this fella is supposedly a top level manager/coach. I genuinely can’t think of a single player in that squad that has improved under him. He got very very lucky yesterday. The fact that he swapped DCL/Beto showed he had no intention of going 2 up top - it was forced on him with McNeil’s injury. I can not wait until he’s gone. I can only hope there is a proper process underway already to identify and get the person in who is actually going to make us better and actually try to play football. There is zero evidence of any patterns of play or instruction to zip the ball around quickly. It’s painful to watch week in week out, regardless of the opposition. The worrying thing for me is that there are plenty around me who are bored. The atmosphere reflected that yesterday - we had nothing to get excited about. Get him gone!
I’d love to know what he works on in training all week. The only players that seem to have 1:1 coaching is the goalies, and that isn’t working because Pickford is having one of his worst seasons in my opinion. Woan and Stone are just as much to blame as Dyche here. The players aren’t learning anything or being shown ways to improve their game. Not one player has kicked on since the baldy trinity came in. I’d love for us to have a coach for the strikers. Get on the phone to someone like Louis Saha etc and get him in to show the “finishers” at the club how to actually finish.
I think what I’m trying to say is that the coaching staff is too small and severely unequipped (ability wise) to get a team past 14/15th in the table.
