2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

All the things you have mentioned are 100% true, however why didn't those players ie the full backs wait until the 94th minute to cross the halfway line to put a cross into the box, why did Dyche wait until the 86th minute to put 2 up top, even though we went a goal down after 61 minutes

Why didn't Dyche instruct the players to do all of the above before we went 1-0 down and take the game to Fulham?

why were 34000 Evertonians quiet as mice for 86 minutes at home to Fulham, then I heard Keano Keano

Because those fans knew the same as me and you, we were awful and never looked like scoring and are sick of the PE teacher on the touchline pretending to be a manager.

Football is about scoring goals and wining matches Dyches teams are not very good at either and never will be

We instantly looked better once Doucoure and Harrison were off, and Mangala and Lindström came on.

It was a lucky point as against Newcastle tho.

Knowing Dyche probably no one of them will start against Souton.

When you’re dealing with absolutes as much as you do you can’t really have exceptions.

Even the VAR replay of the disallowed goal shows Mykolenko up attacking the box on the same line as the attackers.

That’s 3 occasions from even just a 3 minute highlight video.

Meanwhile Ashley Young’s has more assists in 6 and 2/3 games than any other fullback in the league does from 9.

The evidence just doesn’t support your theory that Everton fullbacks don’t cross the half way line because Dyche tells them not to.
So your theory is we played well yesterday and Goodison was rocking and Sky had viewers scrambling around to find their remote controls to turn Sky sports on because they heard through social media that they are missing a blinder of a game.

I have said before when Dyche does go and he will, we dont have long left with his pathetic tactics, The new owners wont mess about, let's see how many premier league teams come in for him.

The equalising goal was weird yesterday though wasn’t it.

There’s Everton pushing forward in the 94th minute which is odd because all we do is have 11 players camped in our penalty area and give up whenever we’re a goal down.

We then take a short throw in which is bizarre because all we do is live for set piece opportunities to launch balls into boxes

It then gets worked on the deck between Mangala and Idrissa Gueye which is weird because Mangala is a new signing and Dyche wouldn’t be playing them this season

Rather than getting hoofed into the box it is worked out wide to Mykolenko who for some reason has disobeyed Dyche and crossed the halfway line which of course never actually happened because Everton full backs don’t cross the half way line

Then instead of just lobbing it in from deep which we apparently do all the time he finds Ndiaye who I was shocked to see because he also shouldn’t be playing this season because he’s not a Dyche player, Dyche hates him, he doesn’t play new signings, he’s had all attacking flair coached out of him, and he will never play ahead of Harrison Docuoure or McNeill in the team.

Then Ndiaye who has all attacking flair coached out of him somehow finds a cross and there at the back post is the other fullback in the penalty area who has also disobeyed Dyche’s instructions to somehow cross the half way line.

He pulls it back to Beto who Dyche never plays who puts it in.

BTW the top assisting fullback in the PL is now Ashley Young who has played less than 7 games.

Its almost as though some of the stuff written on here is complete and utter rubbish not supported by anything actually happening in reality.

Dyche doesn’t play young players

Dyche won’t play new signings

We just hoof it aimlessly hoping for a flick on

All 10 players are just camped in our box booting it away

The game is over once we go a goal down

Dyche doesn’t let his fullbacks over the halfway line

Keep them coming, complete and utter laughable delusional total wham.

Great post mate, don't understand how anybody watching the game yesterday thought we were playing woeful defensive footy from the first minute onwards, the 94th minute summed up the game for me, free flowing overlapping fullbacks - rapid passing, no long balls.

Only problem is, for 93 minutes it was Fulham I'm describing rather than us wears we sat deep, ceded possession, didn't effectively try to press even and when we dis hsve it we punted it long, who had a winger who in 68 minutes touched the ball 28 times. And who ended up playing a CB as an extra Striker.

By all means though, enjoy the way we played at home to Fulham

No.

I’m simply pointing out that these ridiculous binary absolute statements that a lot of critics are making are in most cases not true.

There’s enough to accurately criticise without just making up ridiculous stuff.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Spot On.

That 1 minute of 96 mjnutes of prime Dyche's Everton will surely be on 2024/25 Highlights DVD, it will be a short DVD though, as they are extremely rare under Dyche, but as you say, it was worth the wait of the other 95 minutes of absolute dog turd Dyche style football, anyone who argues otherwise IMO, is deluded.🤷‍♂️

Any selection of Michael Keane, ever.

Don’t think he’s given certain attacking options enough playing time such as Danjuma, Chermiti, Lindstrom, Beto

He took too long to play Garner in central midfield and even now he’s still moving him around. I think he should be first choice CM every time.

The possession stats are too low and the counter pressing hasn’t been as good this season as it was last season.

Whatever is going on with Patterson he needs to bury and get him in the team

Record coming behind in games when conceding first isn’t really good enough.

Everything else though i tend to think is either an issue of having a bottom half squad that is not going to change without significant investment in squad quality.

Or is just a complete subjective fabrication and isn’t actually happening.

Strange thread this. Instead of stating your opinion and debating it you have to morph into the person you're replying to and pick apart their argument from within.

The strange thing is despite all the school of science stuff, Goodison generally reacts better to the anti-football qualities. The work ethic, the getting stuck in with a tackle that takes man and ball etc. Don't get me wrong there has to be quality when we get our foot on the ball and it can't just be lump up top and hope it sticks like now. However if we can see a pattern, that we will defend more often than not, but then attack with pace and power to get a decent shot away or get to the byline and put in a cross for the forwards to attack, then I think most would be happy.

I think Mourinho's us against the world chip on his shoulder, practically embodies Everton. Yes we won't play sparkling football, yet he won't let it get as dour as it is. It will probably end badly as it does everywhere he goes, if you prepare for that though and haven't caved in to all his demands then we might find we have a decent platform to get someone a bit more modern in. Same thing would happen again if you put 2024 Silva into the hot seat now. He and the players wouldn't be able to cope with the pressure of playing progressive football and you go back to square one. Mourinho/Simeone are good bridge managers to get us from where we are now to where we think we would like to be.

One thing is for sure...being solid defensively and having some bite our fans will get right behind the team.

Attacking wise we wont be a soft touch if we work on patterns of play which it seems dyche doesnt bother with

Keep the defensively solidity...add some attitude & strategy and see what the boys can do.

I'm not sure it's been that good.

We've had to play a number of top 8 teams (Newcastle, Brighton, Aston Villa, Spurs etc).

I think we are probably a couple of points off where we would like to be, but more than at the same stage last season (I believe).
Well you can spin it other ways, more top 10 than 8, all them 4 won’t get top 8 and
I’d bet non of them get top 4. You mentioned us being 5 points clear of relegation 1/4 of the season in, but are wolves only getting 8 points or Southampton 4 points, even Ipswich 16 points. After our next 3 games you won’t find an easier start to this season and if we’re only averaging a point a game with, city, arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Utd to come that’s an awful start imo

….many posters assuming Dyche will have us safe this season after working the oracle last season in even worst circumstances, but I’m warning of having people suffering the from end of contract limbo.

Last season I got a PM from somebody on here who is close to the workings of the club. He told me Dyche was doing a significant amount of work to keep the club going in the absence of a functioning owner and Board, vital work outside the scope of his Manager role. The current off-field situation is more promising but absent owner and Board still applies. I can’t see Dyche continuing to work behind the scenes when his job is in limbo.

Similarly, in his on-field duties you have to wonder if he’ll baulk at making the tough calls and going the extra mile when the new owners haven’t spoken to him. It could be similar with Stone and Woan on the training ground, not engaging in extra one-on-one discussions and training for those that might need it, pretty much doing what they have to.

They’ll all be doing their jobs, they’ll all be trying to impress potential suitors but it’s the extra stuff that could make a huge difference in a relegation dog-fight.

If the new owners are fixed on regime change, I’d be advising them to do it sooner rather than later.

Well that certainly showed me. So after all the bleating about how we can’t possibly play attacking football with this squad of players, there you have just comprehensively proven to us all that we DO play attacking, front foot, progressive football. We got bodies forward in the 94th minute when a goal down, what a novel and forward-thinking concept. I’m sure many clubs will be queuing up for this progressive ahead of the curve manager. What a mic drop against all those plebs that think we play cautious, safety first, dinosaur football. They need to sit down and study the 94th minute of a home game against Fulham when a goal down and see the style of football that we truly play, that’s the true representation of our style. Watch and learn lads, this guy’s got it cracked.
