2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Not the point though. Their mindset and mentality will serve Kieran McKenna much better in his career than Dyche’s has in his, happy for you to come back and vault this.
Who cares about a managers career though? Kompany got a great job off relegating Burnley. I'd rather a manager adapted to keep a poor side in the PL than refuse to change his ideology for the betterment of his career.

Fair enough. I see nothing other than relegation for them this season myself.

Well they’ve got a squad full of Championship and League 1 players and have the wage bill of a mid table Championship side so you may be correct.

Tell you what, with the gap in quality between the two squads it would not be a great look if we failed to finish at least 10 points above them would it.

Less than a point per games season so we are on course for about 35 points! A relegation scrap again and this manager is still getting fans making excuses for him .

This squad with the quality of teams in the league should not be fighting relegation .

I think lower mid table is about par. Teams like Brentford, Forest and Fulham are using their resources better and are better coached. It'd be a massive failure to not finish above all of the 3 that came up. We should at least be above Wolves as well and probably Palace.

We should have made better use of the fixtures we've had so far. We've played 5 of the bottom 7 and only won 2. Only played one of the current top 6 and lost heavily to Brighton and lost or drew with the middle pack.

Goodison can be a leveller against bigger teams though.

So squad quality is a thing when you want it to be but not when it applies to Everton’s squad? Right. Caveats for everyone else but it’s basically win every game no excuses or gtfo out if you manage Everton.

What are you wittering on about? I’ve been saying all season that I believe our squad is on a par with teams like Bournemouth and Brentford on paper.

Not really bothered where we finish in relation to them tbh. I think we beat them again at Goodison, other than that, they're not our concern.

I'm more interested in not getting sucked in. A win against Brentford will be another step in that direction. A poor performance and a defeat against them and I accept he's then under pressure..

You just keep throwing your toys out the pram every single game though. Teams that finish in the middle of the bottom half (which is where our squad quality roughly is) lose and draw a lot of games per season, and they don’t match their results based on who they should or shouldn’t be beating.

You just keep saying every game is a disgrace if we don’t win it, that we should be beating x team away from home ‘no excuses’. Laughably you then hold McKenna up as an example of what a coach can do but just a couple of weeks ago you were saying there were zero excuses if Dyche didn’t go to Ipswich and win comfortably.

Bottom half teams are inconsistent. You want that to change then Everton’s owners need to buy Everton managers a lot better players. Maybe then you’d have a point but just writing ‘no excuses, don’t let us down Sean’ before premier league away games is quite possibly the most infantile stupid thing I’ve ever seen written on here. Top 6 teams will probably drop points at some of these grounds, Spurs have just dropped 3 at home but you’re going ‘no excuses’. Utterly ridiculous.

We definitely are already sucked in. Ipswich are now 2 points behind us so sadly we do have to be concerned about them. I think with December’s fixtures we left ourselves needing to pick up 6 points from West Ham and Brentford to stay on track for over 35 points, so we’re back playing catch up again now.

A failure to beat Brentford should result in his sacking tbh, he’s had his chances to ease the pressure in the last few weeks and he has blown it. 2 points from Fulham at home, Southampton and West Ham away, is unacceptable.
