2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

You just keep throwing your toys out the pram every single game though. Teams that finish in the middle of the bottom half (which is where our squad quality roughly is) lose and draw a lot of games per season, and they don’t match their results based on who they should or shouldn’t be beating.

You just keep saying every game is a disgrace if we don’t win it, that we should be beating x team away from home ‘no excuses’. Laughably you then hold McKenna up as an example of what a coach can do but just a couple of weeks ago you were saying there were zero excuses if Dyche didn’t go to Ipswich and win comfortably.

Bottom half teams are inconsistent. You want that to change then Everton’s owners need to buy Everton managers a lot better players. Maybe then you’d have a point but just writing ‘no excuses, don’t let us down Sean’ before premier league away games is quite possibly the most infantile stupid thing I’ve ever seen written on here. Top 6 teams will probably drop points at some of these grounds, Spurs have just dropped 3 at home but you’re going ‘no excuses’. Utterly ridiculous.

I can understand your comments about our players and the lack of winning results, but look at the tactics or game plan that Dyche uses. That is where the failure starts, look at the team selections, the substitutes, and the hoofball. Dyche was like that at Burnley, he has not changed in fact I would say he has no other idea.

We could have done that, on paper it sounds like a half decent option worth trying but if you want to seriously tell me that taking Doucoure off for a full back would have been hailed as a good attacking move and everyone would have patted him on the back for it then you are being rather economical with the truth.
So what you are saying is that, big hard mentality monster Sean Dyche wouldn't take Doucoure off in fear of what sort of reaction it would get?

So squad quality is a thing when you want it to be but not when it applies to Everton’s squad? Right. Caveats for everyone else but it’s basically win every game no excuses or gtfo out if you manage Everton.
Not one person has ever said 'win every game or gtfo'
Some might've said 'try to win every game or gtfo' or 'stop treating every team as better than us or gtfo'
I'm at 'gtfo' myself

Really pathetic when you put it out like that. But some in here thinking that’s the limit of what we should expect
I'm just really tired of watching every other team play better football and most of them getting better results, with a manager that talks like the negatives have nothing to do with him and lucky moments are some sort of dychesque 4D chess

The failure starts with close to 3 decades of operating a sell to buy less/loan policy. We’ve given Koeman, Silva and Ancelotti a season each of some decent backing and practically bankrupted the club in doing so.

Outside of that every other manager in the last 30 years has been looking for bargains in Aldi whilst our competitors shop in Harrods. That is where the failure starts.

It’s not though is it, as absolutely loads of managers would. Not every manager’s first thought is to protect the point against dross sides like West Ham. What you’re suggesting is ridiculous and exactly the way this manager thinks, which is why he’s got a 32% career win ratio.
Ahhhh, but what's his draw ration

With the greatest respect, a 0-0 draw away at Southampton would also have been crap and 2 points out of those fixtures would also have not been good enough. Despite that basically being a title win in this manager’s head.

Excited to see where he ends up after us. I don’t reckon anyone in this league would swap their manager for him.
Not sure on that, there is a market for a manager who might be in the doo doo in March.

I could picture if we binned him in January for example, if Wolves, Palace or Leicester sacked there managers he would be food for thought to try keep them up.

Not for me Dom it started when BK was allowed to take over our club.

We definitely are already sucked in. Ipswich are now 2 points behind us so sadly we do have to be concerned about them. I think with December’s fixtures we left ourselves needing to pick up 6 points from West Ham and Brentford to stay on track for over 35 points, so we’re back playing catch up again now.

A failure to beat Brentford should result in his sacking tbh, he’s had his chances to ease the pressure in the last few weeks and he has blown it. 2 points from Fulham at home, Southampton and West Ham away, is unacceptable.

They've just got their first win of the season and we've still picked up 4 more points than them in the last 6 games. I think we pull clear of them. But it has to start next game I agree. Lose that and I will take a step back from here and just let it play out.

Ipswich have some winnable games on the horizon, but they're far from 'expected' wins and they also have to play Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Chelsea, United, Newcastle, and Brighton in their next 12 between now and the end of january. There's also away games to Fulham and Forest in there. They're not gonna be picking up loads of points.
