2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I'm not making any excuses. I'm 7 months too late for that mate.

What I've said all along is that there was some decent results in there, some poor ones, and some games we lose more often than not. At that time MY OPINION was that we shouldn't sack him. Least of all because of the pressure heaped on him from external sources. Turns out I was right, as he lead us to comfortable safety, even after having points stolen.

I'm not trying to rewrite history, I'm just explaining why I was still prepared to stick with him through that. I've never once said it's good enough for Everton Football Club, or that I would accept it again. I'm already holding him to higher standards this season, whether you care to acknowledge that or not.
The argument of 'no team in any league would tolerate not winning for 13 games' is a weird one for me as 3 teams went down last season and we weren't one of them.

All the 'Blue Tick' morons on Twitter and Podcasters constantly spouting support for Dyche really dont help

That Benj is insufferable. Quite clearly too scared to have an honest opinion on Dyche in-case his Goodison backstage pass is revoked.

He posted something about Lampard the other day, quite clearly with the intention to make Dyche look better. But the thing is, Dyche should look better as he has more experience than Lampard and has a better team that Lampard did also.

That's just not true.

yes , same players virtually but a completely different approach and style. Makes me laugh when people say a new manager wouldnt be bale to get the players playing differently
Everything boils down to net spend. apparently. Completely different approach and style, tactics, in game management, coaching are not applicable to the Dychettes

Does he have a better team? I'm not convinced he does.

They all seem to mesh into one rubbish team for about ten years now.

Agree. Our fan base shouts NSNO and ignores nuance and we've now had 8 permanant managers since Moyes

That's poor management from the top, nothing to do with our fan base.

In that time we was probably too hasty with Silva and Ancelotti chose to leave.

Martinez was train wreck after his 1st season
Koeman was a mess as was his transfers
Alardyce was interim only

Benitez was a perfect example of bad management from the top
Lampard was an up and coming manager that didnt work out.

All the fans should want the best and certainly shouldn't be defending a manager with such a poor record as Dyche

perfect example of everything that is wrong with our fan base

It’s a simple matter of crisis management.

You acknowledge and accept your in a crisis and manage it.

Or you deny it, pretend, nothing at the club has been wrong for theee years and say you have ambition.

Comments on the squad are a case in point - built with a negative spend via selling anything of worth, group who largely fought against relegation the past three years - yet should be doing better - if only we had ambition - really…..

It’s denial or acceptance or acknowledgement of crisis management really. People are just choosing one or the other in here really.

Everything else in here is just a waste of time and circular.

Lampard was an up and coming manager that didn't work out but Dyche is [Poor language removed], right 😂 interesting framing

I would say so.

He has a more settled McNeil, DCL has been less injury prone (just crap), Branthwaite coming into the team has been massive. This season add NDaiye, Mangala. Lindstrom and Beto into the mix, Chermiti when back. I would say all improve the team

Richy the obvious plus for Lampard.

Lampard had Gray, an Injured Townsend, Gordon who was poor for us and lack of options upfront.

i would much rather have Dyches first 15 players than what Lampard had.

yes 100% and we all was in favour of a fresh approach with Lampard. It didnt work out and he was rightly sacked.

Dyche is an experienced manager that should be performing better but he is showing how poor of a manager he actually is.

Beto, Lindstrom and Chermiti are pretty useless. (Chermiti is young of course). I quite like Mangala but he hasn't done anything yet.

Realistically you are looking at Richarlison vs NDiaye. Other than that it's pretty much the same level of rubbishness, understandable seeing as we have not been able to spend freely.
