That still isn’t gaslighting but it’s annoying I’ll give you that.
Depends on what kind of signings we make. One signing can change the performance of loads of players. Look at James here, Trippier for Newcastle, etc. Purely for entertainments sake I'd love if we could see another manager with this exact squad and fight on the internet about it.We’ll see what happens with these same players when the next manager comes in is all I’ll say.
Its damaging, most managers protect their players and big them up, this fella is rolling them under a bus with his comments. The manager telling us we’re crap and it’s got nothing to do with him is actually gaslighting tbh.
that is gaslighting. He is telling us that what we see regarding his management has nothing to do with him and is all these other nefarious things and poor players that are to blame. He is telling us not to believe our own eyes nor trust our own judgementThat still isn’t gaslighting but it’s annoying I’ll give you that.
Well no it isn’t gaslighting. Gaslighting is making somebody question actual facts and quantifiable reality through psychological manipulation. Somebody not accepting responsibility is a totally different thing to gaslighting. Like I said, it actually means something, it’s not just a catch all term for a difference of opinion. It is exactly that.
the psychological manipulation comes in the form of 'all my years a manager', 'people trying to tell me how to be a manager' and the like, pointing out that he knows best, all of you don't know, doubt your own judgementWell no it isn’t gaslighting. don’t cry mate because your jarg hero is a proven liarThis is some agenda stretch even for you. He’s played Branthwaite in almost every game he’s fit ahead of Keane but because he picked up a niggling injury and had to be carefully phased back you think this means he shouldn’t get any credit for playing Branthwaite.
Honestly you’re a complete parody at this point.
that's not gaslighting, that's lying. It has to be about something that isn't so easily verified and can cause the person/people he's speaking to to doubt their own judgement.Telling us we won on Saturday would be gaslighting

Telling us we won on Saturday would be gaslighting, telling us we played well is just him giving an opinion we don’t agree with, it’s not the same thing.
Well I think we’ll benefit massively from Ndiaye playing as a forward and not an auxiliary full back for a start.
I also think Lindstrom will benefit from playing in his natural position, maybe even Harrison who never played as a right winger at any point before this manager put him there.
I think there’s a good chance Patterson will be used more over the manager’s 40 year old geriatric best mate, and actually given a chance to prove whether he’s good enough or not (he is better than Young and Coleman)
I think Tim Iroegbunam will shine in a system that incorporates some ideas from the 21st century. Lad looks a baller, think he will almost certainly be used ahead of *checks team sheets* Abdoulaye Doucoure.
I reckon we’re more likely to see development from O’Brien particularly if the manager is tactically flexible and likes to use a back 3 formation from time to time.
But apart from all that, not a lot really.
Yeah, this is just speculation. For me, Patterson has had chances under Dyche and just not taken them.
In Dyche's first season (18 games) he started Patterson in 4 games, though Coleman was available (and started) for 11 games. Interestingly, he started 4 of the last 5 and only missed the last game through injury. Last season he started every game before being dropped for our first win of the season against Brentford. He was then used as a sub in a further 5 matches before coming back in to the team for the consecutive defeats to Spurs, City and Wolves. Wolves 3-0 was basically the last time we seen him. What did he do during that time that makes you think he took his chance? He's also since had a 7 month absence with injury.
Managers tooA lot of players are incapable of improving
That’s true, it wasn’t a good example, but neither are the ones you and Mike are using. Somebody not accepting responsibility for something or giving an unpopular opinion isn’t gaslighting however much that might upset people who think substituting ‘light’ and ‘dino’ for dyche is the height of comedy.that's not gaslighting, that's lying. I don't think he's just not accepting responsibility though. I genuinely think he is trying to convince people that he'd be great if it weren't for the players, the club, the weather, the decor, the canteen and the sport itself.
