2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

It's not about moving on. Or growing up. I'm 47 thanks.

He would take us away from where we are, and in to the top half in a couple of season with a little bit of backing imo. That's good enough for me thanks. Nobody said he would have to be here forever.

It's got sod all to do with the fact he's been here before. I wouldn't have any of the others back. In fact, the been here before argument reflects more badly on those using it. It shows they are blinkered. If he'd done what he'd done at clubs other than Everton, he'd still definitely be in the discussion, just like people like Thomas Frank are.
Cause it has,
It’s got everything to do with him being our manager in the past.
Like I hear carsley’s name getting mentioned. I also wouldn’t want Frank think he’s decent but not a huge upgrade, thankfully he won’t leave Brentford till the summer, so fingers crossed it’s all sorted in the near future

Okay mate, it's got nothing to do with the fact he literally took West Ham from fighting relegation and made them a top half team.

In fact I've changed my mind, there's a more successful Everton manager knocking about. I'm going all in on Big Joe Royle.

I just watched Sean Dyche’s press conference, setting aside the sniffing and coughing he appears to be someone who has no idea about forwards. A lot of talk about old players who have no relevance to today’s game, talk about instinct, talk about them creating a goal out of nothing. You can see he has only one element to his game and that’s defending.
He also talked about the balance, about taking something away from the defensive side to allow attack, no mention of the team being a unit, about attacking and defending together. He sees it as two completely separate things, you sacrifice something in defence if you attack. That is worrying.
He also talks like he only arrived a short while ago, talks about finding a balance, if he was any good he would have found it by now. He also seems to have started blaming the Club’s history for our current position and no acceptance of his own part in the debacle. Looks like a dead man walking.

Typical of a man like him to blame everything on everyone else.

He really is unbearable.

I really wanted Sean to succeed and will be forever grateful for his cleaning up after Fat Frank and saving us from relegation.

He deserved another season but there is little doubt that he has disappointed.

In Army terms, he is a top NCO but his promotion has turned out badly. If he can pull something out of the hat in the next two
or three games the he may save his EFC career but if they go according to form plus the takeover goes through then he's got
Xmas off.

He’s not saving anything mate,
He’s done

He had six seasons over two terms and spent the best part of £270m and finished in the top half 3 times, they were only 4 points ahead of us last season.

I bet Moyes has a better track record than anybody you've suggested Matthew.

You preoccupy yourself with style like we're about to gatecrash the elite if you want. I'll put my hat on some actual proven good managers for the next one thanks mate. Namely Moyes, Mourinho or Thomas Frank.

soz i’ve never once said wel crash the elite

so that’s horse poo.

it won’t be any manager that’s been in this league

can’t wait to be proven right

start taking your dyche wall paper down

Never said you did. I'd just prefer substance over style at this juncture.

Not taking the wallpaper down just yet. Don't know about you, but I'm hoping he can save his job by getting some results.

Anyway @Simon Buttle. I'm not saying his transfer record there is immaculate or anything (few managers are) but I wish somebody had spent £270m here and left us with Kudus, Bowen, Paqueta, Soucek and a load others of varying ability.

Edit: Dyche and Lampard have spent £170 million between them. Frank also got 100k a week for Dele.
