2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Anyway @Simon Buttle. I'm not saying his transfer record there is immaculate or anything (few managers are) but I wish somebody had spent £270m here and left us with Kudus, Bowen, Paqueta, Soucek and a load others of varying ability.
Think those signings can be primarily attributed to Tim Steidten the TDoF whose responsibility is scouting and recruitment.

I just watched Sean Dyche’s press conference, setting aside the sniffing and coughing he appears to be someone who has no idea about forwards. A lot of talk about old players who have no relevance to today’s game, talk about instinct, talk about them creating a goal out of nothing. You can see he has only one element to his game and that’s defending.
He also talked about the balance, about taking something away from the defensive side to allow attack, no mention of the team being a unit, about attacking and defending together. He sees it as two completely separate things, you sacrifice something in defence if you attack. That is worrying.
He also talks like he only arrived a short while ago, talks about finding a balance, if he was any good he would have found it by now. He also seems to have started blaming the Club’s history for our current position and no acceptance of his own part in the debacle. Looks like a dead man walking.
He's a tough listen for sure

Playing defensively worked for Italian sides, because they had good midfielders who could keep possession and strikers who could hold up ball. Also you need a great defence, we had that under Moyes. It doesn't work when you have midfielders who lose ball all the time and we don't have decent wing backs either. Which means as you saw against Villa this season and at Brighton last season we just invite pressure. Plus under Moyes we had players who took their chances, we don't have that anymore. Plus Moyes could change games, Dyche can't.

If Palace, Leicester and Wolves win today we are in the bottom 3 with our run coming up...

Lets see what happens but I don`t know how anyone can still back this manager, it`s like supporting the burgler that is robbing your house. Absolute insanity!

The worst thing for me about that is that we almost played all of them apart from Wolves and have no chance to correct against them anymore till in 2 months. Again a bit like the situation 2 years ago, but then we had the easier ones more in the 2nd half of the first 19 games.

Last season it helped us that we won these even more important games.

Anyone fancy a faustian pact?

Where he bores the living daylights out of us for the season but gets enough moody wins to see us comfortably safe with no dramas.

Before unceremoniously firing into the hinterlands of just promoted clubs looking for a relegation saviour via THE BIGGEST FREAKING CANNON FRIEDKIN CAN AFFORD?

Makes me so sick that tv and radio media have so much sympathy for this potato head quoting off field issues at Everton as the real problem and that any manager would struggle blah blah. Jeez come to Goodison and see us play will ya. I truly truly despair Has it ever been any worse? Get the clown out. Simple.
There are far too many media pundits and journos that have an opinion about him that clearly don't watch us or if they do don't care because its not their club
