2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Teams tend to switch off once they want a manager sacked. We've seen it many, many times. Here and at other clubs.

No way we turn that early season form around if they wanted him sacked. He'd have been sacked if we lost to Palace and Leicester. Impotent board or not, they'd have been forced to act if we took 0 points from that first 5 games.
They’re professionals mate, i don’t see many players actively going out to get beat

They have been very active during this approval period and i think there is a strong possibility they will have sorted their manager out too tbh. I cannot imagine they would ever see Dyche as the man to take their project forward. I think he will be gone not long after they get in no matter what he does now. They don't mess around with inconsistent Managers these guys.

Maybe so mate. I think ultimately results are gonna determine whether they sack him on day one though.

Time will tell I suppose, and I hope we have the cojones to boot him before they get here if we lose the next 2.

I didn't really say they would actively look to get beat mate. Saying they need to stop keeping clean sheets was slightly tongue in cheek, but the point remains. Teams switch off when they think the manager is done. Teams generally don't keep too many clean sheets if they're switching off. You're more likely to see hammerings like the Martinez derby or other examples we've seen.

Can't see Moshiri getting rid of him before TFG are in tbh. Think he would have already done it if he was going to especially with 2 wins out of 12. Hopefully the takeover is complete in the next week or two and then they can take the bull by the horns and put their plans in place.

Ok mate, so because professional footballers are doing a job that relates to “oh they want him”. Believe that or not, I don’t really care, but there’s at least 5 first team players, including Pickford, who are not happy with his tactics and approach to games

It's not what I said, is it? I don't believe he's lost them yet. Certainly not the majority of them.

Go on, I'll indulge you. Who are the "at least 5 players" who are not happy with him, and what's your source for this?

I was going to say something along the lines of...you dont stick with a manager like Dyche if youre planning to spend hundreds of millions to rebuild the squad.

Then again they hired Juric & Ranieri :o

You might be right. I think he's done just about enough to save himself for now, since he was nearly done for at HT v Palace.

I hope you're not right though. We can't just sleepwalk until the new owners come in, and I'm not putting a timescale on when they will arrive, because I just don't know. I'm still not even 100% certain it will be completed. How could I be?

I fully expect the new owners to get their own man. Dyche could win the next 6 on the bounce, but as soon as there was a spell of bad form, they'd give him the boot anyway. It's what new owners do.

Anyway, they're not here yet, and I'm not convinced they sack him on day one either btw. Saying that though, he needs to be sacked if we don't get at least 3 points from the next 2.

i want everton to win no matter

i just don’t think dyche can do it no matter mate - and yes new owners always do

be
honest ( we will lose tomorrow )

and imagine if we do to wolves?

goodison will be horrible
and saturday’ them lot will add to it

If we lose the next two mate, I'll carry him back to Kettering myself. I won't want him here if that happens.
