2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Far too much read into that.

You pay £5m for a player compared to £30m, up front payments become nonexistent. Especially if your reaching far and wide

Definitely not.

What you can pay upfront is a massive factor in today's market. It's why Gnonto isn't here.

We didn't even have £5m upfront. It was £0 for Beto.

Do you think we'll sell Branthwaite for £0 upfront/on the drip?

No chance.

You've just proven my point. Its where the club is shopping.

You really think if you found some gem in South America, Europe or anywhere else around the world, and their club valued him at £7m-10m; Everton rocked up and said: We'll give you £1m down and 25% of any future sale, they'd say no??

Did Carlisle say no when we offered £1m instead of the £2.5m they wanted but we gave them a cut on any future sale?? No

Thelwell is chasing first team players, playing in the biggest leagues in Europe. Of course is a totally different scenario

The 6th best paid manager in the Premier League and he’s paid that for???

Getting Burnley promoted twice

There’s no probably about it; he’s MASSIVELY overpaid

Whatever. Couldn't be arsed getting in to that debate, so that's why I used the word 'probably.'

We were a basket case when he arrived (arguably still are) and weren't in the best negotiating position. He's got 6 months left on his deal and up until recently, he's done what's been required. It's a bit late in the day to be moaning about how much he gets paid.

None of that changes the fact that how much he gets paid is irrelevant to whether it's financially viable for the axe to be wielded as we speak. Which is the point I was making.

I'm basing it on my support for a club I have followed for over 60 years & we need to get rid ASAP... or we are relegated....
Yeah but what we all want to happen ( and needs to happen ) doesn't just occur without the owner taking action.

Why would Moshiri lift a finger and pay out compo when the takeover is days away?
