2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I don't know how I'd know that. Or you. Given our circumstances and recent history, I doubt we paid much if anything in actual cash when the transfer was completed.
Well done mate, you've just wasted both our times

So to summarise, even though you jumped in feet first to quote me wrongly, then trying to justify your stance, you're now unsure of what we paid (despite it being widely reported) but now trying to justify how YOU think we'll pay it back, even though your not certain if we paid that reported amount???

Instead of just saying "Yeah sorry, I misread your quote"

So, given the fact you said that we don't have £5m, how are paying for Ndiaye??

Everton manager Sean Dyche on his side's league position and form: "Last season at this point, we had four points. We have 11 points now and I want more. Look what happened next. We are still looking to crack the code and that's we've spoken to the players about. That's my job."

Isn't that because we had the points deduction ? Wouldn't we had been on 13 points without it so we're technically worse off than last season

You like to argue for argument's sake quite a bit.

You put Jake O'Brien forward as an example, not me.

I didn't misread your quote, I disagreed with it.

The only man for the job!

I said, "pay £5m"
You said "we don't have £5m to pay up front"
I then replied "I never said pay upfront"
The finally you went with "the clubs broke, we don't have £5m"
So i simply asked how did we pay for O'Brien - he was brought to disprove a ridiculous claim

So yeah mate, you're wrong.

I have no idea what the reality of the situation with O'Brien is, but it has certainly been suggested that the whole reason he is here is exactly because we didn't actually have to pay for him and it was effectively a PSR swindle with Textor. Personally I think it's a theory that makes a lot of sense, but maybe you hadn't heard it.

Moshiri and Dyche can both be bad. It's weird to me that you always present it as an either/or. You also repeatedly claim that people who criticise Dyche are putting it all on him when almost all of them are also highly critical of Moshiri. Hopefully we'll be shut of the pair of them by Christmas.

Well, what I say is the opposite - it being both. It's not all on Dyche (but Everton circling the drain and Dyche being manager, is Moshiri)

The point was made directly in relation to comparisons to Brighton - there's no comparison to be made for Dyche, and Brighton.

That comparison shouldn't be made in relation to Sean Dyche and in this thread. If we want to make it, the comparison should be to Potter. Who, as I said - took £100m and took Brighton from 40 points to 41 year one, and 41 year two.

Just tactics, training, man management, in game management and results

Well, let's use the full quote;

People blaming Dyche for us not being Brighton is hilarious to me.

... Dyche come in and we've had to make money every season, from a squad that was sat in 19th going into February.

We've discussed Potter to death, who spent £100m to take them from 40 points, to 41, to 41 again. He was being booed by Brighton fans in his final season when he finished 3 points above our tally last season. He'd have been hung from the main stand before them 3 years were up if he was at Everton. Totally different.

Potter was a symptom of Brighton being a very well ran club. No coincidence Brighton have kicked on after he left, and Potter hasn't had a job in over 2 years.

Just like Dyche is a symptom of Everton.

People put way too much on a manager.

Everton's biggest problem and cause of our situation is entirely created by Moshiri and the rot was well set in, and we were long circling the drain before Dyche.
