2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I know let's waste a few more games and vital weeks of the transfer window before thinking about getting rid.
Hopefully this lot thats just acquired Everton have something to implement and have been doing their homework in preparation of getting new manager in etc. If they go in to transfer window with Dyche having some input on transfers, we can be very worried.

Don’t forget that with it being a loss, the dychettes go into hiding for a few days
My theory is they are hoping with Dyche incharge, season tickets for next year won't get snapped with him at helm, just a selfish ruse of support.

Has he? No signs of any significant protest at any home game. In or outside of the ground. We used to be good at making our feelings known. Not anymore sadly.
I totally agree. It was one of my rare visits to Goodison yesterday and I was staggered by the apathy of the crowd to the dross that was served up. Not a murmur, not one Dyche out chants , just a few boos at the final whistle.

It's like the crowd has collective Stockholm Syndrome.

Very , very sad that this is what we've become.

I think Dycheball has drained all of us to the point of complete apathy.

i appreciate that having to sit through the football is joyless, and not winning home games is always going to make him unpopular, serving up poor entertainment and put his job at risk.
The harsh reality is that this squad is absolutely dire. Unless there is investment in this squad now the club is as likely to go down rather than up the table whoever the new manager is.
My worry is that we could do west ham here. And get worse looking to play better football.
My main fear is relagation this season. I still feel Dyche keeps us up, although the football and match going experience is turgid. But relegation to the championship is a sand trap that be difficult to escape. And a huge rebuilding exercise.

West Ham conceded over 70 goals in the league last season. Their defence had already gone to pot under Moyes.

Why do you think we are more likely to go down than up. Any competent manager will have us playing better football, creating chances and scoring goals

You cannot be scared of change. The squad is poor but decent managers maximise what they have. Dyche is not doing this.

If I thought the team could compete.
But the players we are signing are full of baggage, unwanted by other teams.
I’m not scrared of the change and just we need to change the playing staff as priority one. New manager and new players is ok.
Same squad new manager isn’t going to help.
This is just my personal opinion obviously.

Fully agree, how many of our lot go on upward trajectories after us? (Where they’ve been battling relegation for three years)

I’d say Branthwaite, N’Diaye, Pickford.

Forest are second in the league. They don’t have the second best players, far from it. The new manager has to find a formation that works and get the best out of them

The team can absolutely compete better. We see that in cases like yesterday, when we go a goal behind and then actually try and play some football, we actually look decent enough. We just don’t do it enough because Dyche is too scared of conceding and losing the chance to draw. It doesn’t help that Dyche consistently tells us they are poor (which is as much to cover up his own failings as it is truth).

The players are no world beaters but with coaching they can be better than this and be a least a little bit further up the table.

The problem is that we left it too late to bin Dyche. At this point any new guy coming in doesn’t have a great deal of time to get his ideas across and make the changes. It’s 50/50 whether you go up or down. The problem is the same can be said of Dyche, in fact I think we are more 75/25 to go down, because we are playing badly and he has shown he doesn’t have the ability to change things or make this get better.

This every day of the week.

Take a deep breath then look at the table at the end of last season and look at the respective positions of Everton and Forest and then look at the table today.

They also had / have PSR problems. The difference in the 2 teams performance is staggering.

Do they have players that are that much better than ours or has their recruitment been a bit better and they are far better coached.

It's probably all 3 - we don't have a player like Gibbs - White and their full backs are light years ahead of ours - but given the disproportionate difference in performance between the 2 teams this season it can only be down to the input of the respective coaches.

Forest's results this season are a real indictment on Dyche

Pretty sure if statistical information was laid out Dyche is underperforming too.

Think he is outdated and has not been able to adapt his philosophy for the Premier League.

I actually thought he would sit us back against this lot and frustraite Forest into submission as they like having less of the ball than us!

Just don't get him, don't think he gets himself.
