2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Forest are second in the league. They don’t have the second best players, far from it. The new manager has to find a formation that works and get the best out of them
I agree, forest are punching. But they have balance and quality across their team.
I agree we are terrible to watch.
I’m not against a change per se, I just think it is risky for a team to change at this stage unless we are updating the team. In order of options:

1 we spend 100m in January and get a new manager with fresh impetus.

2. We go with the current squad we keep Dyche…
I think Dyche pulls it out the bag. I can’t say for any other reason than I think we will. It’s not going to pretty, we are going to lose games, the fans will fume at how boring the football is. But we stay up.
He is then moved on.

Opinions differ.

He stays we go down.

The team can absolutely compete better. We see that in cases like yesterday, when we go a goal behind and then actually try and play some football, we actually look decent enough. We just don’t do it enough because Dyche is too scared of conceding and losing the chance to draw. It doesn’t help that Dyche consistently tells us they are poor (which is as much to cover up his own failings as it is truth).

The players are no world beaters but with coaching they can be better than this and be a least a little bit further up the table.

The problem is that we left it too late to bin Dyche. At this point any new guy coming in doesn’t have a great deal of time to get his ideas across and make the changes. It’s 50/50 whether you go up or down. The problem is the same can be said of Dyche, in fact I think we are more 75/25 to go down, because we are playing badly and he has shown he doesn’t have the ability to change things or make this get better.
Moyes, Allardyce and Dyche all done the same. Emphasis how bad the situation is so they look better

A positive manager like Martinez is needed to give the fans and players a lift. That first year under him where we attacked and went out to win all games without an inferiority complex was great. Obviously the new manager needs to better than Martinez

Forest improved in the summer but not dramatically. The biggest difference between us and them is the Manager. They have a decent one who knows how to get the best out of what he has got, is versatile and has found a system that works whereas we have got the complete opposite. A guy who hasn't changed in 10 years, is incapable of versatility, never plays to win and spends more time blame dodging and gasdyching than trying to improve.

Sick to death of him and want him gone before he embarrasses us any further.

Wolves have brought a new manager in, working with the same squad, and since have won two and drawn one. Will that always work? No, look at Amorin.

But, a manager can be a catalyst for the performances improving if they know how to get the best out of the parts: people management, tactics and attitude.

Dyche lacks any of those three qualities when it comes to football that looks to even attempt to score a goal.

Dyche isn’t getting wins against anyone. Can’t break teams down who sit deep, couldn’t beat Southampton, couldn’t beat 10 man Brentford, couldn’t beat Bournemouth with a 2 goal lead on 87 minutes. He doesn’t win enough games

Waiting for this!

Would be a perfect end to 2024 and a Good start to 2025!

Chances of a bit of self reflection this week and more time spent trying to work on attacking set up? Of course not. Full week of watching videos on how Bournemouth can hurt us and how to get 11 men behind the ball to stop it.

And therein lies the problem for Dyche. He won't change and he can't change. Any manager who refuses to adapt and move with the times will never take a club forward like Nuno has at Forest.
