Want him to do well, but he isn't and it's got worse up to the point where even relatively straight forward games don't look like they are winnable.

We only beat Wolves as they were abysmal, scored two own goals and their players had thrown the boss under the boss before he was sacked.

Two draws and two defeats in the four games prior to that win, one defeat and three draws in the four games after that - 5 points from 24 available, including three 'unbelievable' results against Chelsea, etc. That's relegation form and is not improving.

you can separate them mate, we all want Everton to win today and everyday, it's just not likely with the way we are set up, we play not to lose, first and foremost, but I feel this squad is stronger than last years, we should play to win more often.
