2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Well, coming across anything these days will definitely land you in hot water.

Snowflakes.

Rumours were doing the rounds that after his split from his wife, he has been drunk most days and regularly cancels training on Mondays due to being hungover. Could have been sacked for that as well as the poor form.

I have no sympathy for him unfortunately as his attitude towards the fans has been disgraceful for the best part of 18 months. Keyboard warriors, expecting Europe, this is what they do here (leave early) all the gaslighting. What comes around goes around.
It's not about having sympathy for him, it just comes across as poorly handled. Sacking a manager while the team are arriving at the ground for a game is a pretty mental thing to do, and a hasty statement just adds to the feeling that we've lost control of the situation in some way. I work in comms, I can tell you now that nobody wants things to look the way this looks right now, it's chaotic and that is the last thing you want to project as a new owner. I'm not saying it's a major black mark and needs to be held against them, but if this is symptomatic of how they do things it's going to be a very bumpy ride.

What is wrong with you people?

Weird timing?
Heartless statement?

This is the new, heartless, business minded, corporate owners of EFC.

No more crying and thank You's, and you were amazing.

Wake up...we want to play Champions League football in the future, this is the approach we have to adopt.
I don't know was it as clear cut as that. My understanding is dyche heard something he wasn't supposed to hear this morn and confronted them. Maybe it was supposed to be done in a more formal way Monday.

what’s that got to do with chaos behind the scenes? i’m waiting …
The timing suggests they haven't been prepared properly for this, Matty. They should have sacked him no later than Tuesday. His position was untenable. Now, they've waited until the evening of a match.

There was no need to delay this if they were prepared.

Looking forward to Bainsey's team selection tonight...

I mean I think he was sacked much earlier, probably yesterday, and the team as well as Baines will have known. It’s not like they have just rang Baines up now and said “oh btw you’re managing tonight lol”

Just because we’ve only just found out about it doesn’t mean it has only just happened.
