2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I agree.

And the enormity of that decision is something I know I don’t have the knowledge to make.

What I do know is that watching Everton set out every game with an inferiority complex, looking to contain the opposition above all else, is soul-crushing.

get this view too. 👍

I’m not sure where the notion that our team is really poor, it’s not, individually we have good players, the reason we are struggling is purely down to negative tactics. It only works well against the top teams because we’ve got Pickford, but against the also rans it’s unnecessary and negative. Unfortunately this is how we’ll play and we’ll draw or lose games we should win because of negative turgid tactics SACK

Pickford and branthwaite are top class players. Tarks is good for us.
Now is there a list of players that anyone in the top half would sign and get in the first 11.

So you're saying Dyche out, Bernie Inn ???

What is it with all of the anti-Dyches towing a party line of…
“We want Dyche out, but I do not have an option on who should replace him, because it’s not my decision’”.

It’s potentially the wettest take I have ever heard.

All I read is: “I want Dyche out because we are not as good as the other teams my friends support, that makes me angry and I know nothing about football”

Join the dots… you want dyche in because you think “x” will do better.

If these guys come in and invest in a striker, a midfielder, couple of full back, and some pace on the wing… I’d take any number of managers. potter, franks. Even a risk on someone like Davide Ancelotti. Not sure I would make all these changes mid-season.

With this current squad I have not heard anyone tell me a better option.
There’s literally a whole other thread about next manager. This is the Dyche thread.

How many players have we seen turned over since the Rafael days? In that time Jarred Branthwaite has also staked a place in this team yet the win % of Dyche is only 3 % higher than Benitez and 5% higher than Lampard. PPG is 0.19 better than Benitez, TBH I didn`t think it would be as close as this....

If Dyche fails to win the next game he will have 9 wins in the last 38, exactly the amount Lampard had in his 38 games in charge...

That can’t be. Because Dyche is a much much better manager……

So he has won more, drawn more, lost less, picked up more points.
Just checking is this what you think it’s saying?

What about the fortunate 3 points v palace, the draws v Newcastle and Fulham, even yesterday city missing a pen. There are points we’ve thrown away, but we’ve also been lucky in 3/4 other fixtures. Funny how
You and the other dyche fans don’t mention them games
Coz no team is ever lucky, ever? Strange referring to us as lucky to be honest.

And City didn’t miss, Pickford saved it.

I think it is really damning, that in them stats I have posted we are currently very much on a par with the Mike Walker, Howard Kendall and Walter Smith reigns yet this manager is doing a wonderful job. I wasn`t hearing those other managers being so fondly spoken of at the time for the job they were doing!

There would have been club boardroom turmoil back then too...

Well done on copying a comment above.

To be honest mate, I think it’s in the realms of acceptable to ask for a prominent post such as yourself to clarify or justify their thought process.

Correct whilst having the benefit of signing c20 players and benefitting from the emergence of Jarrad Branthwaite...

I need to look at the spending but I`d go so far as saying Dyche has spent more than the previous 2 managers combined.
