2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

They are plenty of ways around psr and financial restrictions, especially with the naming deal of the new stadium which i am sure could be showing in this year's account, or at least part of it. It is the same old Everton, with or without money.
You need a naming rights deal first. They're not a nation state fund or oligarchs so they're not going to to be throwing unlimited funds at us. I'd imagine TFG would prefer a 3rd party to sponsor the stadium rather than using their own money which I'd imagine they'd prefer to introduce as an equity injection.

Now that Bovril have pulled out of stadium naming rights discussions, I'm hearing a deal is in the works for The Irn-Bru "We Make Do" Stadium.

They won’t be selling the club if we go down because they’ll be lucky to get a fraction of what they’ve spent on it so far if they attempted to sell it. I supported Dyche as long as he was here but it became clear at the end that he’d done all he could and he’s said himself that he couldn’t do any more, I wasn’t keen on Moyes coming back but he’s here to stay now with the contract they’ve given him and I’m hoping he can improve things, the main thing for me is that he’s come in and seen we need players immediately, I’d be worried if he was saying we don’t need any players and we’ll go with what we have for the rest of the season.
No he didn't.

A Kopite hack said he said that and no one else.

If you can get me the quote of him saying he could take us no further that'd be great...

That’s because you’re not looking for them like the paranoid blood hound you became under Dyche

Pep has called out City fans countless times for attendances, Klopp did for fans leaving early, Spurs managers have basically had open season on their fans.

Koeman said Everton fans expect too much and live in the past, Allardyce said what more do they want after fishing 8th and complained about fans not recognising the effort of the players. Martinez was basically subbing off Besic every game just to have a pop at the fans. Ancelotti likened the club to a fiat 500.

I like Moyes probably as much as anyone on here but he often complained about fans booing the players. There was a mid week game v Spurs when he complained about fans moaning, said it didn’t help the atmosphere, and then said that if you asked fans do they expect top 4 they’d say no. He also called fans a disgrace when at United and frequently didn’t understand anger to Kenwright.

All managers make comments fans don’t like. What Dyche has said barely registers on the scale of what premier league managers have said about fans over the years which is why no one in the mainstream media have picked up on it.
Can remember in Moyes' first spell he said some fans need to be educated after there were some complaints about him

If he ever writes an autobiography I'd buy it just for Everton stuff. He's indicated that he was dealing with some crazy stuff and it'd be interesting to know what it was. No doubt concerning Moshiri and his cronies

Now that the dust has settled, if the rumours are true about him going to the chairman and saying that he couldn't take the squad any further are true - it shows the measure of the men.

He has been a consummate professional since his arrival. A lot of people have long/medium term memory loss, but our goose was well and truly cooked when he arrived - and he turned it around. We lacked any real threat going forward this season, but injuries and the fall off of our main attacking threat had more to do with it than anything he had control over.

In years to come people will look back at his first two seasons and recognise the job that he did.

Very limited coach who had indeed reached the end of his tenure.
He realised the squad that he built are not good enough this season and they were only going one way.
He bottled it - and didn't have the guts to give some home truths to ridiculously well paid players who can not reach the levels required anymore.
Moyes at least gives us a chance.
He has to be brutally honest though and start punting the dead wood and getting some in who have fight passion pace and ability. We need leaders not cowards.

Well it definitely does, I agree with that.

I'll give him last season, but his rescue job upon taking over was even worse than Lampard's post-Benitez.
