For me, and for what it's worth, the level of expectations has dropped to a level that effectively meant we were happy to accept a no mark as a replacement and yes there weren't many options, but the whole situation is indicative of the absolute mess the whole club is in, that he was even considered, bearing in mind his credentials and history.

He isn't Everton standard, he isn't even Prem standard, he's one dimensional, one tactic, poor footballing and has literally landed on his feet getting this job, it affects nothing for him staying up or going down, his reputation was [Poor language removed] before he came and will be the same after but WE will suffer because of this low expectation level we now have entrenched in this club.

If new owners come in, dispose of Kenwright,Sharp, DBB First then sack this turd off to where he belongs.

I'm sick of the low bar.

Dyche simply isn't, wasn't and never will be good enough.
If we go down, he has to go. If we stay up on 34 points (or even 36), there is still a strong argument for him being replaced.

He's done ok, definitely better than Lampard, but he's not done any better than just ok. Yes, this is a poor squad but Forest, Leeds, Leicester, Southampton are very, very poor teams. We're definitely finishing below one of them, we may yet finish below more than one of them. The fact that that is the case with one game left is not a positive comment for Mr Dyche. He's just not very good.

We also kept Lampard for keeping us up and look how that's turned out. The squad is crap but the managers have been more as well. We really need a full rebuild. If we have any money at all for players anytime soon I don't want Dyche spending it on carthourses

‘I told them that at half time. It’s about mentality, not about shapes and tactics. And they got their reward for giving a proper shift and trying and never losing the belief that we could score.

lol

I swear to god, if he mentions mentality one more time. I appreciate that it’s important but of equal importance is drilling the team to play some semi decent football and making appropriate changes at the time appropriate times in matches (options permitting)

Phenomenal:)

That's exactly where I am.

As soon as Patterson went off yesterday we needed to change shape and get a completely ineffective McNeil into the game further up.

To come out the same in the second half (albiet only for a few minutes) was ridiculous.

From 60 minutes onwards we had no shape or structured way of playing. People popping up all over the place, it was comically bad.

I appreciate his squad isn't the best but he had enough options to have defenders defending and midfielders in roughly the right place and forwards up top.

Dyche is proving to be a parody of himself. Grit and determination will not achieve much in this league, ability and good coaching is what's needed.

I'm not sure Dyche can do that.

I mean..... That's pathetic. Sunday league levels of coaching.

"work hard and you'll get a reward"

A centre half scored with the last kick of the game. What would Dyche have said if we hadn't scrambled that ball home?

Indefensible.

I know players got injured but we were so disjointed and I believe players didn't have a clue were they were playing yesterday in that 2nd half

To be fair this comment could be taken completely out of context. Yes of course tactics play a role. But the players still had to keep going until the end and that’s what he alluded too. We have 4 full backs out our main goal threat and we didn’t play well but all these things went against us yesterday after a poor start but we dig in and got a point against a team the certainly didn’t lie down yesterday. If we keep the 11 on the field yesterday I think we win the game but it’s all ifs and buts and we have to move on and focus on winning at home next week.

Everyone wanted mcneil left back….then moan he was ineffective….

Everyone wanted holgate out if the team and never on the pitch again….he did that, and even brought keane in instead….
I agree mate I think a Dyche looked at Holgates performances against Ayew and Mahrez and didn’t fancy him for the game yesterday. I personally would have started the same 11 as last week but I also understand his thinking on this. McNeil did a great job on Troare but we need him up the field next week.

There where fans on here saying that we should have rested Calvert Lewin for the Bournemouth game based on yesterday and Patterson is too brittle for premier league after praising him last week. I’m sure we have a forum of Mystic Megs

Whoever they want in will only get hounded out when he makes a decision they dont like, they never learn.
and an owner who takes too much notice of crying fans instead of listening to the DOF that he employed.
i think this is a big part of the state we are in.
howard kendall wouldnt have lasted 6 months!

I said during the match that even Sunday league managers wouldnt be doing what he did.

It was almost like a bizarre version of 'Total Football' but with no one having any idea what they were meant to be doing.
