Falls apart straight away with the Holgate and Godfrey combination.

Ancelotti tried it against Fulham (in the season where Fulham were one of the worst teams to ever compete in the premier league) and we got absolutely decimated.
I was so caught up in Davies I didn't even notice that CB pairing lol

This shows such a lack of understanding of the game.

How can you watch the Arsenal performance and see what Dom offered to the team, and how it improved the rest of the side to be able to play direct (because as I've said, these players need basic tactics right now) to the derby, when we didn't have that option and Liverpool just made us try and play through the thirds and we were picked off.

Look at the last four games we've got points out of - Dom has started each one. It's no coincidence, because even under Lampard when it did get close to being right it was when we went a bit more direct (the win over Palace we played with intensity and speed, it's direct, proper footy).

Yes, those other teams are well-coached, and they've had better managers. They've also recruited well, with an emphasis on speed and athleticism and energy, not just vague 'young and hungry' and PL experience. The only player that we bought in the summer with actual money that is the template of what we desperately needed was Onana.

Brentford have speed up front. Fulham have a defined template, an excellent no.6 and in Vinicius they have a striker who means that if Mitrovic is injured they do not have to entirely change the way we play.

Dyche has been here two weeks. He's been failed in the window but just in regards to the last two games he's taken 3/6 points. I'm unsure what you're judging on right now. If he keeps us up, it'll be because he's coached this side well enough to grind out points.
Maybe if you need the best aerial dual winner in the PL to play to make the system work it isn't actually a working system?

Do you? I don’t, because the players playing it on the ground are Seamus Coleman and Mykolenko.
I really do believe we could put something competent together. I mean is that really so much worse than Rico Henry and whoever the Brentford RB is? I somehow think we're too far down on our team. We have quite literally had the worst manager in the league at the start of two straight seasons.

Rico Henry is miles and miles better than Mykolenko so yes?

I’d honestly love to know where you’ve got such a high opinion of our players from. You simply can’t have ever watched any of them and are going off FIFA ratings.

I just don't think they're as uncompetitive as people make out.

We had to stick with Lampard too. Stability is only good when it's stable at an acceptable level. Dyche has 16 matches to show us he can do that. But the mistake with Frank was looking at staying up as proof. The results don't matter. We have to play better. If we do Dyche stays if we don't try again whether it's the PL or the championship.
Sorry, what?
