The next two games are the big test really. That'll give a clear indication of where this is all heading. That includes the next two games for our relegation rivals as well.

If we find ourselves 4 points behind after Brentford with Spurs, Chelsea and United to come next then that is going to look pretty dire.
Its already looking "dire".

We are obviously not blessed with experience of going down and having to fight our way back by promotion. Better to have someone at the wheel who has experience(and success) at this. Also, it's not as if we'll have prime Mourinho or Pep to call on in Dyche's place this summer.

He was never my choice for the job, but, considering the woefully unbalanced squad he has been given, i think 6 points from his 5 games is just about acceptable. It's what he manages to get from the next 3 games that will paint the true picture. One thing is for sure, if he keeps us up this season it will be in spite of Thelwell and the board not because of them. Every time I think of us failing to bring in a centre forward during the past 2 windows, I feel like screaming with rage and despair.

I notice you don t even mention getting beaten at home against the Villa. You make it look like that I am attacking Dyche and I can assure you I am not, I have already said I don't blame him, I was just suggesting he try and do something different towards the end of a game when we are getting beaten, Why do you feel the need to put my suggestions in heavy type. I expressed my opinion, maybe something for Dyche to think about.

Sorry Roy that comment was meant for the grand oldteam

I thought Everton had knocked all of that out of me. Then up steps the january transfer window. Even gullible me thought there is no way they wont go for it a bit and get a striker or two through the door.

Eh?

You make it look like that I am attacking Dyche and I can assure you I am not, I have already said I don't blame him, I was just suggesting he try and do something different towards the end of a game when we are getting beaten, Why do you feel the need to put my suggestions in heavy type. Because that's the point I was addressing.

This is you;

"but why does he keep playing Maupay, we all know he will never score goals, I also know we don't have much in reserve but please at least try something different"

"At least please try something different."

I'm simply expressing my opinion, that your opinion is baffling.

He's had 5 games. He's started 3 different strikers in those 5 games. Calvert-Lewin, Simms and Maupay. He's tried 4 players upfront if you include Gray vs Arsenal late on.

To imply he's either stubborn, or won't try something different is in my view at odds with reality.

Probably no manager gets this team playing, as I have said many times. Thats why I think changing manager was totally pointless.

Its not Dyche's fault or Lampards fault. I will continue to support Dyche even though I have big reservations because I do not believe changing manager makes the slightest difference.
We have won two games ..... I could not see us winning any under Frank tbh

We would have accepted 6 points from his first 5 games. We got 6. Not from the games we expected but this is where we are and we're not dead yet. Losses to Forest and Brentford and you can stick a fork in us though.

Would we? Reluctantly maybe. That record from now until the end of the season is not going to keep us up.
