2022/23 Sean Dyche

It made sense. The likes of Southampton and Leeds hardly made inspired changes and Gary O'Neil was a caretaker left in charge for Bournemouth. Time will tell for Leicester but Dean Smith would have been more underwhelming than Dyche even.

Hodgson had a quick impact for Palace, but so did Dyche, Palace only needed those 2-3 wins to pull clear. Lopetegui done well at Wolves from where they were but still a gamble. West Ham and Forest stuck with their managers which might pay off but the fact there was no obvious replacement a factor.

What might save us is other clubs making even worse appointments. Imagine if we'd appointed Nathan Jones or Gracia.
we'd probably be in the same position and won 1 of 10 while slowly looking like we are getting worse

They're debt free as I think their owners have pumped money in a leverage similar to the Glazers (paying themselves etc). Revenue has increased.

Sold £150mill worth of players in 2 seasons. Think they made a profit last season. They're also getting Europe this season.

They have sailed against the wind but have been clever over the years in terms of FFP and come out under it over the 3 rolling years. Big homegrown player sales have helped.

Add to the fact their wage to turnover isn't 90% like ours.
You may know more than me regarding villa, but you can’t compare them to utd, they make at least 5x what villa do and villa will be paying some big wages. Digne is on more at villa than Everton.

They lost 50mil on transfers this seaon, broke even the grealish season. Over the last 6yrd we’d have made a lot more than villa, because they’ve had 3 yrs in the championship, and spent more than us. If it so easy for there owners to find ways around P&S why haven’t ours. Doesn’t add up to me, West Ham is another spent loads more than us last 5/6yrs Wolves as well.

Its got to with the fact that there was NO other sensible alternative to Dyche that had a chance of keeping us up. Its wasn't the time to throw in an up and coming manager with a long term stability project. Personallybi would like another moyes type era where we can stabilise and grow - but we are backs to the wall fighting for PL survival. If the dreaded happens maybe the longer term project starts over the summer. I guess that will come down to wheter we get pumped in our last PL games and if we do i expect Dyche will get the boot and get replaced with some guy Mishori had a wet dream over.
Every other team that has changed manager will stay up. If half the club and fan base didn’t have wet dreams about the fake promise of mediocrity that Dyche came with we might have been able to realise there are more managers in the world than one who literally took a team down last season.

Mina will still last longer than dyche, as his deals runs till June 30th I believe, Dyche will be doing interviews at Coventry and Bristol city by then
I honestly dont think he is going anytime soon, which might not be a good thing but dont be suprised if he hasnt been told he stays even if we go down

The people who told him that, if they have won’t be here either, moshiri Wouldn’t have told him that, because he didn’t really want him.

Hes definitely gone if we go down, wouldn’t surprise me if he goes, If we somehow stay up. New investors/board and moshiri might want to go a different route. Also with the likes of potter on the market they may think that’s a chance to build something

Who did Moshiri want? You could be right if we get a new board, also Potter would be a much better fit for Everton then Chelsea, like Moyes was right for us and not United. He wont be out of work for long

Think Thelwell wanted Dyche too. Also believe Cahill threw his two pence worth in as well.
Yes you maybe right, Bielsa would have been a disaster for a short term relegation scrap, so I can see why some of the board wanted a more safe appointment with dyche. The point I was making is he’s wasn’t Moshiri’s man.

Pathetic again from the board to
Leave us with them 2 options, like they did the year before

He might have been but we would have been in a much better position to come back up. As it stands we will likely go down and then have Dyche filling the squad with middle aged journeyman grocks who, if we do somehow get promoted, will leave us exactly where we are now in our first season back. This appointment was very poorly considered.
